Transfers - suggestions/rumors

  • i beleive gomez s potential still hasnt been seen at bayern... at barca the only player which always shines is messi cos he s guardiola`s favorite... apart from puyol which is the best CB in the world in my opinion.. i dont like teams like barca and real, they have MANY star individual players but they all want to play alone, apart from the stellar passing barca are able to do ;-)

im sure every football fan wants his club to be like that, but i just want bayern as it is and just be consistant in defence maybe like inter`s defence last year, then we have robben, ribery , schwieni etc etc which can solve us matches.

  • It is a shame on Bayern Munich and the management that they didnt sign any player this summer. No one wants Bayern to sign 7-8 new players every single season, but we do want Bayern to improve our current squad instead of building on our cheque book.

What makes me more disappointing is that we could have built on a team which can potentially win Champion League in the next 2-3 seasons, but at the end, we didnt, even with all these new sponsors money and income from Champion League and titles last season.

  • agree with u bbjtin, however i saw an article on italian media that it was comparing bayern and inter together, they said this year both teams didnt invest much in getting new players, they said both of them are trying to produce talented youths, in that i think bayern are doing a very good job, but i think its just a way of perspective. if bayern want to get cups immedialty then defeniatly they have to improve on our defence and attack, but i think bayern s philosophy in these years was to get the youths to play for the senior team, i think it has suceeded having lahm schweini & most recent muller & badstuber & contento. im not sauing they r worldclass but by getting playing time im sure they ll be, all of these iv mentioned are showing they are class players which should be given more time, and having van gaal as coach this is coming true, i think bayern staff knew that from the begining...

  • To me, Mueller is already a worldclass player who has impressive everybody last season and during the World Cup. On the other hand, Badstuber and Contento are a bit behind. They are not even top players in Bundesilga but they do have the potential. I reckon both Inter and Bayern probably wont get into the Champion League final this season. I think either Barcelona or Real Madrid will get into the final and probably against one of the Premiership teams like Man Utd or Chelsea

  • Müller a world class player? Come on.. let the kid play at least 1 more season like the last season to confirm what we saw last year wasn't a 1 year show and then we can talk about a player who can become a world class player. Messi wasn't a world class player after 1 season, that's a title you earn after a couple years on a constant high level.

  • Mueller has also been another excellent player for us so far this season. To me, he is already a worldclass star, but he isnt the best player in the world like Messi.

So if I ask you this question, is Ibra a worldclass star? Many will say yes, but again, he hasnt been playing that great in either Juventus or Barcelona. So is hard to judge what "worldclass" really means

In addition, I want to say that Bayern has pocketed 96 mil Euros plus from Champion League revenue and price money last season. On top of that, we have gotten 150 mil Euros from sponsors (some of them will be paying down stadium's debt) and several millions from sales of players like Sosa etc.

But even after all that, we didnt spend a dollar on transfers. It is quite disappointing and strange

  • Well we apparently have different views on when a player is world class. I can agree with you that you can't find a player who has the same style of play like Müller and that's what makes him special. We all saw the difference bewteen when Müller played for the German team at the WC and when he didn't. It was like night and day. But if Müller can show a constant high level like last season i will agree on the fact that he is a world class player. Until then, let's keep it a little modest.

To me Ibra is and has never been a world class player, he is so overrated! If you ask me Inter made the deal of their lifetime when the got Eto'o + cash for Ibra.

Only thing im worried about for this season is the GK and CB position. There's just not enough quality on those positions to compete for the ChL trophy. Our board must be living in denial if they think our defence is good and they put their faith and hopes in the 20-year old Breno who yet hasn't proven anything besides a few good games for Nürnberg and who's just coming back from a long term injurie.

  • Apparently, Juventus's Marotta revived that Dzeko is bounded to Bayern

I hope thats true, because Dzeko is at crazy price, but next season, his price tag will come down significantly to probably 25-30mil Euros where Bayern could afford and in between, if we are offloading Gomez to Liverpool or whatever club, in total, we probably wont lose out much. Beside, Dzeko didnt play in Europe this season, so we could sign him as early as winter period.

  • If Bayern is looking for Van Bommel's replacement, obviously, the worldclass selection of Essien and Fabregas but Sahin isnt a bad selection either. He will combine really well with Schweinsteiger in central midfield

    0

  • Hope Dzeko does join, he would be a great additon to the squad and a perfect replacement for Klose. On Van Bommels replacement Van Gaal has stated that he is planning on using Alaba, I say try him out in a couple of games as a sub, then let him play a preseason and lets see how it goes. If he fails then definitely lets go for worldclass.

  • bbjtin : Sahin would be a dream to play along Schweinsteiger. Maybe a little bit risky and too offensive, but would be a superior central midfield. Trasch would also be a good one, can play several positions and is already pretty consistent for his age. But Sahin indeed, that's the one we should get. He also has the advantage that he knows the liga and speaks german

    0

  • chrisco : But the problem is that for the past 1-2 season(s), Trasch didnt play too well in Stuggart. Therefore, I wont suggest to get him even at decent price. He would be great as reserve but what is the point of signing another reserve if we have already had Tymoshchuk, Alaba and Pranjic who we can use.

I really think that Bayern needs to sign a quality central defender as Van Buyten has again shown his weakness against our national team. It was his mistake that leads to the goal

    0

  • I think Breno will definitely get his chance this season, but even with that, I want Bayern to buy a worldclass central defender and guide both Breno and Badstuber to gain better technique.

  • Bayern has the capital to sign anybody in this world, after new sponsors and last season's Champion League income. I hope Bayern can go for the quality players instead of another potential youngsters, because we have plenty of them within the squad already. We need more worldclass and experience players.

Bayern should invest in Essien, Dzeko, Neuer, and Chiellini. On top of that, maybe we can get a few quality Bundesilga players like Hummels and Sahin. In return, we can sell Van Buyten, Demichelis, Ottl, Tymoshchuk and Gomez (45-48mil Euros back!). Then, we will have a concrete team to challenege Europe

  • Essien: Will never come
Chiellini: Worldclass, but left footed, and Van Gaal will play with Badstuber as left footed CD.

Replace those 2 by Hummels and Sahin for example and you have 4 players from the Bundesliga who know it here, who speak German and you have in each line a superb reinforcement. Also all young players who already have some experience, national and international!

    0

  • I dont think that Essien will never come. Obviously, he wont be cheap, but if Bayern makes an effort, there is always a possibility. On Chiellini, we have shown interest in the past and I think even if Badstuber plays on the left central defender. There is a possibility that Van Gaal will switch Chiellini to be on the right central defender even though he is a left footed player.

  • chiellini would be a huge investment but i doubt that he will leave juve. but we already have good CBs in my opinion, badstuber is showing he s good, and breno just needs time to get backfrom his injury i think.
