Pastore is a great talent. And Palermo let go Kjaer for 12M and loaned out Cavani, so we definitely shouldn't pay up to 25M. A friend of me also said their transfer policy is very difficult to understand, they do the strangest things, things nobody expects

I completely agree because Palermo isnt a big club, therefore, they cant afford to hold onto players. I think we definitely need some reinforcement this winter. I am thinking of at least 2-3 players- Dzeko, a creative midfielder and a central defender

Just buy Dzeko! even if it takes 40 million!
He is an amazing striker and fitness wise, he's superb too!
Buying Dzeko for Bayern will be like buying the Bundesliga title!

I have read that goal.com article. I think it is a great article. Bayern shouldnt extend Van Gaal's contract for another season and obviously, Van Gaal has always been too arrogant with his selection of players even when he was at Barcelona.
We have four holes in current Bayern squad- central defender, left defender, central midfielder (Van Bommel's position) and central forward

Because Manchester United are in huge debt and will be forced to sell some of their main players!

Not only is Man Utd in huge debt, but also Liverpool and possibilly many Premiership and Serie A clubs as well. In addition, both Barcelona and Real Madrid are at historical high in terms of debt.
This is not the reason for big clubs to sell when they have huge amount of goodwill for their brands in bank's book.

Maybe our bad start in Bundesilga isnt that bad, because it is an alarm to Van Gaal and the board that we need improvement in certain areas- Van Gaal interested in getting Dzeko this coming summer

Yes, but only if Bayern keeps on playing like this, then the board will definitely act, just like after the previous two horrible seasons. Unforunately, if Bayern turns in a better display in the following matches, the board might stupid enough to think that we have enough fire for the rest of the season. Thats the problem right now when Hoeness left his job

this young lad played brilliantly! it can be a good signing but i'd still prefer Bayern sign a reliable and consistent striker like Dzeko!

For the winter, according to goal.com, Van Gaal has around 30mil Euros to spend to improve our squad. There are a few areas that we need improvement. The most urgent is probably - left defender, central defender and a striker. But in reality, most of the top left defenders are already playing in Champion League, so I believe Van Gaal will probably look elsewhere and rely on Contento and Pranjic for the rest of the season. Van Gaal will probably deploy 15mil Euro plus players to get Dzeko as well as signing a coverup player of 10-15mil Euros for either Robben or Ribery. For central defender, I think Van Gaal still has faith in Van Buyten (even though he has already made at least 10 mistakes this season with us and national team) and the recovering Breno. But if Breno is unable to show up in the next few months, he might consider selling Demichelis for 8-10mil Euros and get a reliable and solid central defender in the mean time

thoth : I cant agree more with you on Dzeko's signing. Personally, I think is just a matter of time for Bayern to sign Dzeko. On Hummels, I agree that we should definitely sign him back as he is on top form for Dortmund for the past 2 seasons and he is willing to come back to Bayern. Personally, I would sell both Van Buyten and Demichelis this summer as both are basically surplus here. On Beck, I dont think he will be playing here as a left defender. So I prefer Bayern looking for other alternatives and I refuse that Van Gaal will switch Lahm back to the left hand side any time soon
