Transfers - suggestions/rumors

  • Bale started out as left defender and now changed to left midfielder/winger, just like Jansen. But I think for Bayern, since we are basically attacking all the times, having someone like Bale on the left alongside with Ribery will force opponents to put both of their right side players to defend. So I am not worried at that point. Beside, Schweinsteiger can always drag back to defense that hole

  • Errr... another awful game this time in the DFB Cup :(

Bayern really need some reinforcements like Neuer, Hummels, Sahin and Dzeko

    0

  • Totally Agreed. Sahin just said that he will stay in Dortmund, but we need the other 3 players. Bayern must spend once the transfer window opens.

  • However, Bayern board, Hoeness doesnt see the same view as any of us. He thinks Bayern will have a complete squad to challenge three front with one addition- right/left defender.

I think he is being too naive to think that we will be able to achieve anything like last season

  • Well the management keeps propagating the same errors and wonders how come the team won't even get an Europa League spot:

    * weak squad - totally dependent on 2-3 players, really weak substitutes
    * international games - are not an issue when you have 10-14 top players that you play once a week so they'll have enough time to rest
    * keeping weak players - van Buyten and Micho have been awful in defense for so many years yet their contracts kept being extended instead of getting new players

Which of these seem to you like top players capable of wining the Champions League with Bayern judging by their results in Munich?

Braafheid, van Buyten, Demichelis, Altintop, Ottl, Pranjic, Tymoshchuk, Gomez.... that's 8 players that have been useless for the team.. 5 more that never get to play: Kraft, Sattelmeier, Haas, Breno, Alaba...hmm...13/25 and Klose, Olic, van Bommel and Contento are far from being in top shape!

  • thoth : Exactly right on a certain point that Bayern board is too soft hearted to bring in top quality players to replace some of coaches' favor players.

Beside, Hoeness only mentions about bringing in a right/left defender if they see a need. But when you look at our current squad, we could definitely bring in a central defender, a striker and a central midfielder

  • @ bbjtin - Its really funny cause Germany fights Italy for extra European cup spots yet Bayern will probably miss all Euro competitions next year unless it wins the DFB cup cause it won't finish on the top spots at this rate

Nerlinger, Hoeness and the whole board are just enjoying the financial pluses of the previous year while preparing for a sporting bankruptcy and they wonder why players like Ribery, Robben, Schweini and Lahm are always thinking about leaving cause of the lack of players being brought to strengthen the team.

  • thoth : I dont like the fact that Hoeness and Van Gaal dont like to strengthen our squad, but lets try not to dramatic, because I am quite sure that Bayern will definitely be in Top 3 finish by the end of the season. That means we could get to play Champion League next season. However, I dont want to see us getting into quarter-final or semi-final every single season and didnt win the Cup.

For me, I hope that Bayern can sign one worldclass left/right defender and one central defender this winter period. In the summer, I want Bayern to sign a goalkeeper, a central midfielder and a striker and even a backup winger

  • Barcelona has given D.Alves an ultimation by December this year. I think Bayern can monitor this situation. D. Alves is one of the best attacking right defenders in the world and still has 3-5 good years to offer. His contract is expiring by the end of June 2012. I think if we are wanting to him from Barcelona during winter/ summer, his price tag will be around 20mil Euros with just more than one year left with him

  • it seems like Schweini can be leaving Bayern in Jan, hopefully he'll sign soon and will be continue playing for Bayern or else the situation will just get worse!!!

    0

  • I don't think Schweini is that stupid.. to leave Bayern, a club where he gets anything he wants no matter if he plays well or not... cause we should remember that Schweini played awful for a couple of years till van Gaal changed his style.

  • Lahm will definitely stay with Bayern but again, he isnt at his best since he moved to the right side of defence. On the other hand, Schweinsteiger has turned himself into a worldclass player at Bayern. I think at the end, Schweinsteiger will extend his contract; however, he might need Hoeness or Nerlinger to promise to furthur strengthen our squad

  • Rumors that Lahm will sign a contract extension until 2016. In addition, Bayern is looking into the hot shot, Bale, but Spurs probably wont sell him cheap (35mil Euros). His current market value should be around 12mil Euros before his Champion League performance

For here, I want to critize Van Gaal and Nerlinger for not signing any quality players in the summer and let go of two highly rated German players- Ozeil and Khedira. The reason is because Nerlinger thought that both of them will not make it in Spain. In reality, both of them are instant hit in Spain's capital city. Therefore, they were wrong in terms of signing talents.

Even though Gomez has been performing recently, I think we still should consider getting Dzeko as Bayern is a lot more dangerous with an option of having two strikers - like Toni and Klose in 2007/08 season. In addition, Gomez is not the most reliable striker as he can score 10 goals in 3 games when he is on the road but he could also be disappeared for 10 matches when he is not on form. Sometimes, when big stage, a consistent striker, like Dzeko, Drogba, is needed.

In winter period, I hope Bayern can bring in a central defender to help out our central defense as both Van Buyten and Demichelis are basically over their peak. In addition, Badstuber and Breno are way too immature to deal in big stage. Tymoshchuk is great as a subsititue but we shouldnt really rely on a defensive midfielder to play out of position if we have the chance to sign a player in the winter window. In addition, we also need to grab a left defender as Pranjic is clearly not a proper left defender, most of opponents' threat came down his flank. But he did contribute a lot more than Contento in attack, like crosses and freekicks.

  • Goal.com news are mostly fake, i don't see this happening, Traore wasn't that good anyway, Dzeko has to be the man... my advice sell Olic along with some 20mill and get Dzeko!

    0

  • The Goal.com news is mostly fabricated by amateur reporters....
Not all of it is bad... but always check the source, especially
in big anouncements.... If there are no sources like
(AFP or Reuters) then most likely that information is weak.

On a different note, given the age of Olic and his market value, he
would be the logical choice to offload (unfortunately) before getting a big signing.

  • This article is true, just do some research. Rummennige said against the president of Cluj they're scouting 3 players in Romania, 2 of them playing for Cluj. But scouting doesn't mean buying. Bayern scout in every country, in Belgium they'll scout some players too. But it's not because you scout them you'll buy them

    0

  • Exactly. I think we need a major spending (30-50mil Euros) during winter period, as our team basically lacks some stablitility at the back and creativity up front. Hopefully, we could sign at least 3 top quality players- central defender, left defender and a striker
