Transfers - suggestions/rumors

  • Exactly and Lugano wont be too expensive either. He should be around 10-15mil Euros. Thats what we would have paid for Vidal anyways. So that is within our original budget.

Central defense is definitely the area for us to improve on. I see Breno leaving us soon anyways with 3-4mil Euros fee. So the amount that we actually needed to pay for Lugano would be around 10mil Euros at the maximum.

  • Lugano is one of the massive reasons why Uruguary came top in South American Cup. I hope that Bayern can act quick and secure one of the top performers at reasonable price

  • just saw on kicker that heynckes said breno won`t be leaving this summer.. i think this means we wont be having any other transfers at this stage... maybe heynckes can FINALLY put breno into the right track to be a world class CB.. :)

  • I think Lugano is needed even at this stage. What we could do is to sell Van Buyten and sign Lugano? I mean is fine to fix Breno because he was an expensive transfer. But without signing a proper experienced central defender will be a massive failure for Bayern this season

  • i think they are gonna rely on boateng and badstuber this year and maybe van buyten as a replacment in case someone of them is injured or misses a match...also saw that juventus are intrested in alex...if lugano isnt going to come and sometime ago alex was one of our replacements if boateng doesn`t come might as well get him if he`s not so expensive

  • I dont think Nani is better than Robben. Unforunately, Robben injuried too often, but when he is fully fit, he is alongside with Messi and Ronaldo.

For central defense, we definitely need some more reinforcement. Lugano would be the best addition. Alex- I would have some reserve because he is actually not that great but again probably better than Badstuber or Van Buyten

  • i think robben plays diffrerent football from messi, and ronaldo plays different from both... can`t be compared, maybe the only oneswhich can be compared are nani-robben, they both run up and down the flank and end up getting to the centre to shoot... messi is an all-rounder dribbler and this can also be applied to ronaldo...ribery and robben are different types both play on the flanks

i dont think there will be any transfers by now, i mean this weekend we`ll start playing league games...

  • Since my last visit... found some interesting posts in this thread

    1) Saying what Barça is doing is grabbing super stars is not understanding at all Barcelona's complete strategy... of bringing their youth, forming them and make them grow under a system. Its absolutely clear a team like that isnt really about too many big names, its more about the system in which this players are...(whom btw have became super players for exaclty that tactical scheme... Messi? Iniesta? Xavi?...) Must say that even if they have super transfers isnt exaclty that what makes them successful... is just a thing of watching Real Madrid

2)Lugano... why are you speaking about Lugano now?? have you all been delighted by what he played in Copa America? I would wait a while and see performances in his own club and see if he does as amazing as he did for Uruguay.. what players may offer for they NT isnt exaclty what they do the entire year e.g Messi again, Podolski 2006, are to clear examples that its not the same

    3) Agree comparing Robben with Messi and that crapp Ronaldo its sth you cant do... actually Robben plays in a really particular and own style, same as Lio... but C.Ronaldo... cmon guys!! hes the most overrated player ever!!

  • must say that barca`s youth development school closed recently so players such as messi, xavi, iniesta pedro etc etc wont be coming anymore at this time...

for lugano, may i remind you that he plays for fenerbache, which isnt a top-club many people are used to watch(at least in the CL) lugano has always been a great talent at the back, not on the same class of puyol but can be compared to him i think in some way other that for their long hair lol...i think at a top club he would do great, not only for us but to any great club, he`s got power and hard tackles and LOTS of experience...

as for robben, i agree with you they all have different styles of play, ronaldo is a bit overrated i think, if there was once a player in these last 5-8 years which should get a great applause is ronaldinho in my opinion, he was capable of doing anything, and his vision of play was something that rarely is seen

  • Think the same about Lugano, I didn't even watch a game or Uruguay (except the game against Chile of course :D ) but I saw him play a couple of times (which are some years back I have to say) and he made some good impressions. I think it would be way better then Teudaz or Badstuber but there won't be anymore transfers. They made it clear enough, unless nothing spectacular happens this will be our squad.

And about the barca school: They did close it, but that was because they opened a totally new one ;-)

  • ah sorry for that then xD that means new Messis`s will be born...lets hope theyy`re not the only ones having such talents !! i thinks its too late now for transfers as the league is about the start, the coach would have liked it to have a new player before the starting league matches i think

  • When i say when Robben is fit, he is alongside with Messi and Ronaldo. I dont mean they are similar player, but I mean that he definitely one of the top players on the planet when he is fully fit as Messi and Ronalo are definitely top players even we believe or not.

Lugano would be a great addition for us as he is a solid central defender and not too fancy. Again, he doesnt have "worldclass" status because he didnt play for one of the big elite clubs in Europe, but his performance has been constant throughout the years.

  • i think i know what bbjtin`s trying to say though, robben and ribery but especially robben are in that small category of players which may be called "play-makers" they are capable of creating play, and sometimes even to be the "JOLLY" of the team.... one cant compare such players on their moves just on the effectiveness of such players in teams, for example when robben plays bayern are always like more powerful, at least i see it like that :D
