Transfers - suggestions/rumors

    I just hope Honess bring in some more quality players and make this team stronger because I dont feel Ribery and Toni will stay here too long. I t seems to me that as long as he wins the Bundesliga he is satisfied.

    The problem is that only Ribery and Toni are scoring goals these days against both Gladbach and Schalke. I hope that other players will have to pick up some of responsible. We just dont have enough depth on our bench when Klinsman does any substitute.

    Beside, just to add to the rumors that I posted a bit earlier:


    1). Sagnol might consider retirement
    2). Cana might replace Van Bommel


    On 1)., Sagnol has been injuried for quite some time and some of us might have probably forgotten about him, but again, I think he will never recover to its old self where he injuried himself against AC Milan awhile ago! So even if he isnt going to retire, we would have sold on either case. So to me, this is no big news except is a pity that he cant play football anymore.


    On 2)., many fans have wished for this transaction to happen and now, it seems like that Hoeness is looking into Cana. I think if we are able to grab Tymoschuck during winter break and then sign Cana in the summer and then let Van Bommel go. We would have enough talents in central midfield. And hopefully, Ze Roberto can extend his contract but he probably wont play as regular anymore for next season.

    Where did you read or hear about Cana? I mean, I have yet to hear or read from any at least half-ways reliable source anything about Cana (and trust me, fan forums, fan web-pages and Albanian local newspapers don't count as reliable sources ;-)). There was some discussion about him as he was still going to be a free transfer after this season, but as he extended his contract to 2012, he is bound to cost 14-15 millions. And, honestly, if you stop to think about what you wrote ("I think if we are able to grab Tymoschuck during winter break and then sign Cana in the summer and then let Van Bommel go"), that's straight from Alice's Wonderland: Bayern is so not going to pay 28-30 millions for two DMs (we still don't have our own little Arab-Millionaire...) especially since we also dearly need offensive players and at least one full-back.

    I hope that Bayern will sign both Tymoschuck and Arshavin in the winter period. Both players will cost us around 40mil Euro. But again, as I said we have profit around 12 mil Euro during summer period and spent none. Therefore, we just have to put out an extra 28mil Euro to sign both players.


    On player selection, we can easily let Van Bommel leave at the end of the season and I am not sure if Ze Roberto would extend his contract. If he doesnt, then we might have to sign Cana or Veloso to replace him.

    You should know that that page is just one of those many in internet where people are collecting information from various papers and sources and writing short summaries. As there is no mention about the original source of the rumor, I expect it to be the "small" Albanian paper that had the news printed a few days ago with out any solid back-ground information to support it.


    I don't know if you have seen Cana play and/or how often, but he is one of those players like Van Bommel who work football instead of playing it. It's no wonder that he has been lately filling up often as a CB, as he is technically not that great and can't read the offensive game like i.e. Tymoschuck. If we ever want to compete with the best teams in Europe, we can't keep on living in the past and thinking how great it is to have "fighters" and "workers"; "real men!!!" on the field. We need technically and tactically skilled players in every position, especially in central midfield.


    Veloso would be a dream, although he is still quite young and inexperienced and would probably need both time to adjust and time to grow to really help us further. But he will also cost 25-30 mil. and that is not the kind of money Bayern can afford to pay for a DM (who probably won't even be strengthening the team the first year). But if I had to choose between Cana and Tymo, I would take the latter every time. And if a player is 3 years older or younger really makes not that much difference, what matters the most is how good of a player he is (as long as we are talking about players under 35...).

    i for one, don't think that bayern will make a big deal this winter period, and i base my thoughts on how hoeness dealt the summer transfer period(which was a total bluff), so i don't expect him to do better this time.....plus that every big team drops an eye to zenit st. pettersburg team every once and a while, and i am quite sure that bayern won't cope to any richer club that is prepared to pay a huge amount of money for arshavin/pogrebniak and timoschchuk....
    though anything can happen and they might surprise us....

If he should have said right from the beginning: Bayern is a dreamclub , I would have believed it. But not now, when he's desperate to find a team (Real and Barcelona don't want him anymore) so he starts quoting and thinking like a prostitute

    I am just saying that we should at least sign Tymoschuck in the winter period, and I agree that Bayern normally dont sign big players during winter period. We only signed young talents, like Breno and Dos Santos, during that period. But I think this time, we might see a change as first, we havent made a signing last summer and secondly, we have continously loss possession in midfield and allows opponents to force our defence into errors, just like against both Bochum and Gladbach. I need we might need to sign two defensive midfielders for next season if both Van Bommel and Ze Roberto decide to leave.

    you are throwing some harsh words there.....the truth is that he is a good player, he is young and talented and im sure he can accommodate quick at bayern, if he transfers.....but my doubt is that hoeness is showing any interest in him, and if he will be brought, will the manager place him in the first team, or he will be left on the bench like poldy.....

    welll podolski case is different..never lived up to the expctations... but arshavin could be different..and i preffer a "prostitute" and swallow my pride in order to improve th team...thats my opinion...


    anyway...if hoeness has pride for the team...he would prefer a player that has bayern as first choice...

    @ Geoldes: He's 27, not that young. He has quality, but is too overrated and hyped based on 2 good games on the EC. 30M is the double of what is a reasonable price for him. And I prefer players who want Bayern as their favorite team (Pogrebnyak) in stead of Arshavins who only say it because they can't go to other teams

    Michael Rensing failed his final test in the game against Gladbach.
    He didnt have the pressence of mind to do anything on both goals
    and was a mere spectator.... He was ball watching.


    According to the latest Rumors the Bayern officials have started
    acting and they could be bringing in Sebastian Frey from Fiorentina,
    who probably is among the top 5 keepers in Europe.


    There is no reason to continue with a hopeless case like Rensing.
    One only needs to hear what Sepp Maier said about him to make
    a final judgement. Sepp knows him most.


    I personally am very sure that the Bayern officials are not happy at all
    with what Rensing has been doing and the amounts of goals he has
    conceeded. He will be sold no doubt in my mind, if not in the winter transfer then next summer.....!
