    thats a bit absurd.. since Jansen or Lahm are better than Friedrich and Demichelis is better than Mertersacker. I believe Pavlyuchenko is an average player unlike Arshavin who is top class. Aquilani is indeed a really hard working midfielder like Gatuso but Bayern won't buy him. Atm Gomez isn't looking better than Poldi and we already have him and by looking at the last season, Toni deserves a spot in the squad !

    To say Jansen is better than Friedrich is pretty much leaning too far out of the window. There is a good enough reason the German Nati is playing with Friedrich-Lahm at the moment instead of Lahm-Jansen. And the reason is: Friedrich is better than Jansen. Yes, it might look nicer to an average fan to watch Jansen's mindless foreward runs, but as a full-BACK Friedrich is better at the moment. It was more than easy to see against Portugal (just compare the 1,5 games Jansen made as a left DEFENDER compared to those Friedrich made). A full-BACK is still in the first hand a defender, even though the majority of football fans nowadays only understand the fancy offensive actions.

    Mertesacker signed a new contract with Werder until 2012... so forget him... I didn't see anything tonight from Aquilani... not so impressed... Pavlyuvchenko is a forward... he would be good... Arshavin impossible to get... Hleb is worldclass, maybe not in his best form, but surely a worldclass player... I think we should buy some of the Russian player... they are great!!! What about Pogrebnyak, he is better than Pavlyuvchenko...

    Just one more thing... don't forget Hamit Altintop... he played really great for Turkey... he was injured, and he gained his form instantly... I'm impressed with his 100% correct passes,long balls... and his defensive skills... maybe we wouldn't play that badly against Zenit or Getafe... and he could play in various positions: Right wing, Right back, or even Defensive midfield... Maybe I am exaggerating but his long balls were like Pirlo ones... :D

    First, we will never buy players like A.Friedrich and Mertesacker. Both of them actually played an average tournament so far, and at the same time, they werent impressive in last Bundesilga season. I would like Bayern to buy players like Aquilani, but seems like they will spend it on Hleb this time instead of a defensive midfielder. Hummels will be out for another season with Dortmund. Pavlyuchenko - Bayern never be interested. Arshavin - We should have bought him after matching with Zenit. Why do we need to wait until today, when he was impressed in front of everybody in Euro08? Obviously, he would be interested in joining Spanish league than Bundesilga now!

    Okay... First off, there are a lot of players who won't play for Munich, like Friedrich, Mertesacker, Aquilani, Pavlyuchenko and Arshavin. Hummels was sold to Dortmund and plays a huge role in their defensive thoughts. And should Munich get Arshavin (for at least 20 Million €), why should he be a substitute?

    I don't like Toni because he is not a hard worker.
    Everything is done for him. I appreciate a stiker more if he can put an effort into his game. Klose's goals usuallly involve a bit of effort -wnning the race against a defender as against Wales in Germany's EM quali at Cardiff (I was behind the goal when he scored the first in the 2-0 win).
    Toni seems very weak if it isn't a clear cut chance.
    Obviously against teams in the CL it will be harder to score than in the Bundesliga like where Toni has found it easy.

    Demichelis is the best central defender in the Bundesliga at the moment. Mertesacker is talented but no world class. :D Did you (yohaneblubblub) watch even one match of Bayern or Bremen last season!?

    I agree that Demichelis is a world class defender, he is ten times better than mertesacker. he has alot of self confidenece and he is great with sliding tackles, i wish he was german.
