I think we need to continue invest in our squad. Somehow, Bayern likes to keep the squad small like 23-24 professional players. In fact, teams like Man Utd and Chelsea do have 30 professional players in hand. That means they are always more fresh than us in the later stage in CL competition.
Apparently, Frankfurt is apprently looking to sign Ottl after us. And Bayern rejected it! What a silly move again by Hoeness. We should have sold Ottl and sign a real worldclass defensive midfielder for us. Unforunately, we didnt do that and expect Ottl to become one! Horrible decision!
Best thing we could do was loan out Ottl. He has 1 year the time to prove what he can and to improve. At the end of this year we make an analysis and see if he's strong enough to return. As replacement we could sign Toulalan or Cana, just to name 2. But loan out Ottl to Frankfurt would be a very good option. And if we shouldn't sign a replacement, we can always put Altintop in the middle and not on the right.
Alintop can definitely play in the middle as he did with Turkey National Team. In fact, I think he has a much better performance there than on the right wing. Sosa can play as an attacking midfielder as well. So I think we do have enough players to play on the offensive role. We should really sign a worldclass defensive midfielder for this season in order to compete with the big guns in Europe.
If you have read my other post, you will see that Bundesilga is going backward which is the least thing that I want to see today! Central planning is out of thought and Rumminegge was disappointed as well as DFL chairman. However, Klinsman came out and said that team spirit/culture is much bigger than transfer fee. I think he might have too much of himself here. I mean his new training center is worldclass and I am proud of that. But we need quality players to work on these. If he wants to improve our current players, it might take years to develope them into better players. I dont want to see ourselves like Arsenal, always almost winning a trophy but empty handed for the past three seasons.
I mean we do have a good bunch of players with the newly joined Butt and Borowski. But Butt is to replace Kahn. So we cant really say that we have improved our squad quality overall this season. I think Rumminegge is right, we will never see a Bundesilga team winning Champion League again for the next few years. Maybe we will get into the semi-final or even the final or maybe we will make an impression and lost in quarter-final. So what? I want a 1-0 game win than a penalty lost. I dont want to see Bayern as loser anymore. I dont want us to be the Arsenal and Roma which never won any Champion League but played really well for the past few seasons.
Please Klinsmann, listen to me and buy Richard Sukuta Pasu, a upcoming worldstar. We should give 10M euros for him. He played for Germany U19 and scored 3 goals in 4 games. Please do this Klinsmann because he's the greatest talent in Europe and he'll score 30 goals every season. He's a huge talent, a potential star, so do this Klinsmann listen to me you'll never regret it !!!
Actually, Timo Gebhart is the one who shined during Euro U19 for Germany. Most of Richard Sukuta Pasu's goals are provided by him. Deniz Naki also had a great tournament up front, although Pasu seems to grab the spot light for the past few matches... Beside, those U19 players could be too young to determine if they can really make it to professional. In addition, we already had two great stars here - Kroos and Kopplin who plays well at the left defender spot... although we have already had two excellent left back here- Lahm and Jansen.
On a side note, Ballack has declared that he will retire from football in 2 years time after WC10. And Chelsea would be his last club. So I guess people can stop dreaming of him coming back to Bayern in a few years time.
I do think that Klinsman has strengthen this team ahead of Champion League. From looking back at Bayern's warm-up matches against Dortmund and Koln, I am a little worried. I agree that some of our European Cup stars are not 100% fit yet and Ribery is on the sideline, but we still should have many quality players to carry the team through like Sagnol, Lucio, Demichelis, Rensing, Lell, Van Buyten, Kroos, Van Bommel, Ze Roberto, Ottl and all of them are not playing too well either, although most of them started around the same period of time as others...
I do think that we are lack of a creative midfielder in the middle with Van Bommel, Ottl and Ze Roberto are basically lacking something there... I think a better formation for Klinsman to play with a 4-4-2 formation like this with current players:

by the way Sukuta Pasu is excelent player he played in the world cup u17 together with Kroos and he was good there to.
Unforunately, those U19 players are still not up to the standard of professional football in Champion League. I think we might be able to just reach quarter final again this season or maybe not! Klinsman always gave out great promise but I guess at the end of the day, quality of players are more than anything.

I think Ivanovic is a highly rated defender before he joined Chelsea, after that, he became pretty much ignored for the past season. I think Bayern is able to get him under 10mil Euro as Chelsea spent 13mil Euro for him last Chrismas. He can definitely boost up our defensive line as Klinsman is finding Demichelis, Lucio and Van Buyten not enough comparably to European standard. I think especially if Klinsman likes to play a 3-5-2 formation, then five central defenders are needed.
Luca Toni is injuried. Klose somehow lost his scoring instant for the past 2 seasons even last season at Werder Bremen. Podolski doesnt have enough space for him to expose his speed when he is playing as a striker. He is a player who needs space to hold onto the ball; otherwise, he will lose his ball very quickly. So is actually better for him to play as winger or attacking midfielder
That guy Ngwenya doesnt look too bad I feel he may end up getting signed by bayern.
Ngwenya actually is just a medicore player. If you have watched some of the Dortmund or Koln reply, he missed so many golden opportunities. I mean he could be quite decent in the 2nd division or for our youth team. But for professional team, he is definitely not enough. I hope Bayern can sign a creative midfielder before the end of the window or maybe a central defender/defensive midfielder.

Bayern is rumored to target Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic, which is a great prospect. And I think he will suit Bayern's system really well. I hope Bayern can sign at least 1 more player. Branislav Ivanovic can play as central defender or defensive midfielder.
if klinsmann plays 3-5-2 then we can sign another DC but if he plays 4-4-2 then there is no point to sign another 4 are enough

I dont think Gomez will come this season, maybe he will come next season. I am not sure why people love him so much except he is from Germany. Seriously, he played poorly during Euro08 and has only 1.5 years of wonderful Bundesilga experience. And we are paying 25mil Euro for a player like this. I am not saying he is a bad player and I quite like him. But Podolski came for 10mil Euro. I think Gomez is only worth a bit more to be honest with some of you! Lets see if he can still maintain a season of highest!
Branislav Ivanovic can also play as defensive midfielder just like Demichelis. So that even if we are playing with 4-4-2 formation, Ivanovic can play as defensive midfielder and and move back to help out defence if needed, meaning playing with 3 central defenders, or he/Lucio can push up if we are behind. I think this kind of formation can always change during the match according to our situation.
bayern should not bring mario gomez because we have toni and klose who play like him. as tall players who can score with their heads easilly. plus he doesn't have much experience, we should let him stay at stuttgart and bring him when he becomes more professional. but bayern should bring a good defender, like ivanovic instead of bringin another striker. we can also bring a good midfielder since ze roberto is leaving this year.
If we don't bring Gomez this year, next year he'll be definitely more expensive, because more clubs are going to join the race for him. And what if he plays a good season for Stuttgart (and he'll definitely play if he doesn't get injured)... then what?
