I don't think Oddo is a good signing, he is a mediocre player, why would Milan sell him, and buy Zambrotta? Oddo definitely has past his best!!! He never was a worldclass player! Bayern should do better, Christian Pander definitely is a great signing, but he already played with Schalke in the qualifications for CL... We lost Altintop, because of injury, now our right side is really trashy with Lell. Only a surprise can change my mind about Hoeness, I'm hoping for a worldclass player, or even two!!!
Transfers - suggestions/rumors

This is just crazy... Bayern came out of nowhere and sold Jansen, one of the most talented left defender in Germany to Hamburg. Again, he has his fault, but he still tries hard in offensive. Hopefully, we can complete a few signings before the window closes. I guess Hamburg has the budget to spend some time these days, since they have sold two of their key players.
-
Pander is too much injured, would be a bad transfer. Signing Castro for the RB and Taiwo for the LB-position would be good. 2 young players with experience on high level. Would cost us 15M for those 2 players, so a minus of 7M. And 7M is something we definitely could pay.
Oddo may be welcome as a temporary solution. If we should only pay around 2M for him, he may come. 2M for an experienced italian defender who can play for 2 more years is good. Would also make Toni happier (altough it's ridiculous to get a player just to make Toni happy)
-
well.... I'm waiting for them to sell a few more players to have everything in place for a solid 10th place finish at the end of the Bundesliga
-
Taiwo already played in 3th qualifying round so a transfer from him to us could we forget
-
i agree with those who say Oddo is mediocre, I mean, he is not bad, but his best moment is gone, if we wouldn't've sold Jansen, then Oddo would be a good signing, but after selling Jansen...
I really like gonzalo Castro from Leverkusen as he is skilled like Lahm, young, cheap, and he can both attack and defend very well...
anyway I think this season is going to suck, big time!
looking at HSV team now, with the players they bought...
Let's just hope Ribery becomes the best player in the world this season..., is the only thing that can save us
-
well ... looks like its official ... we got Oddo for a one year loan ....
it sounds kind of strange , replacing a 22-year old decent player , with a 32-year old player ( honestly i dont know how good Oddo is , but i know that he was hated in Milan coz he sucked as a defender ! )lets see how it goes...
P.S. today is the CL draw .. and Bayern r in plot 2 ... which is bad coz we will get a team from plot 1 in our group !!! so if they play as bad as they r now , its back to the UEFA cup as 3rd placed team in group ... lets hope we gain our form !!!
-
Oddo is not going to be sufficient to us this season, we need one more player, and not like Oddo... We need a worldclass player!!!
-
I agree that we need better players to compete with Oddo. I agree that Oddo might have some experiences with AC Milan, but again, he is a player that AC Milan doesnt want anymore! He is definitely out of form and possibilly another "Sagnol".
Sagnol is always injuried for the past 2 years. Lell is unreliable. Thats why Bayern has to get a temporary right defender for the up coming season. In fact, Bayern should focus its effort on defensive midfielder.
There is always a few options that will come to Bayern suggested by tz-online.com, after grabbing Oddo.
Andrej Arshavin
Ricardo Quaresma
Florent Malouda
Guti
Andrea Pirlo
Jeremy Toulalan
AndererTZ-online hinted that Toulalan has the highest possibility of coming to Bayern as a proper defensive midfielder.
-
Toulalan would be good I guess.

I watched some Oddo clips, he is not bad. He is quite fast, he has nice technic, he is strong (like Gattuso) with a good shoot, and most important he could assist with a nice curving ball to Toni, just like Sagnol in the old days. Just hoping he'll get his form back.
I don't know how reliable he is in the defence, but in the clips I watched he was pretty much reliable. -
The part of this Jansen-Oddo saga that I really can't understand is:
We sold a left-back (although he was only the second option) and bought a right-back. Now we have only one left-back (who him self would prefer to play right) and three right-backs (of whom none can really play left). So could someone please tell me what the heck are we supposed to do if Lahm injures him self? Play without a left-back but with two right-backs instead? Okay, the problem could be partly solved by playing with 3 centre-backs but even then we wouldn't have a wing-back to play on the left side because, apart from Ze, none of the players who can play left are defensive strong enough and/or fast enough for the role and Ze is so not going to want to take over the role.
-
yeah..what a big transfer... a 33 yr old

-------------------------------------------------------Please, no youtube clips, here :-S. In youtube clips even Ali Karimi looks like a world class player who has the quality of C. Ronaldo and Kaka put together
-
I said, based on the clips, we'll see him at Allianz Arena!
-
guys dont judge massimo oddo yet, you all know that italy have the best deffenders in the world. lets just see how hes going to do in bundesliga and in the CL. plus maldini is 40 years old and hes playing like hes 22 so age doesnt matter for some players
-
well..once again transfer policy shows to be blind or sth..but selling a defender...even if he wasnt a woldclass one, to loan one in..mmmh it sound too second division club for me...
god now our back line is ... any lahm injury will mean WEAK ..uff..its just..well whatever..lest hope everything is alright
-
well with this final " big deals" i guess the transfer window for us is closed....now we will see, what klinsy can do with these players....
all in all, our defence line sounds good, with sagnol-lucio-demichelis-lahm, but only sounds.....and we have no serious back-ups for each player....its going to be taugh... -
Oddo is a terrific player, older, he could have more 2 good years, and thats all!
I really... really dont know what the hell are the board thinking by selling Jansen, a 22 year old player, replaced by a 32 year old player? i like Oddo but i reckon its a biiiiiig mistake selling Jansen, Its the worst mistake they do since letting go M. Ballack.I hope they have a good reason.
Good move Hoenass! You have a very strong Shoulder. -
Again, I think Oddo is an experienced player with decent crosses at his prime, unforunately, his performance was poor at AC Milan for the past year and a half. But I guess this is a decent moe, but shouldnt be the only move! again, Lell didnt show the consistency and Sagnol is always injuried for the past 2 years. We cant really rely on him anymore. Thats why is wise to get another right defender. But I dont see the reason of selling Jansen since he does play decent with us last season, unlike Lell and Rau.
Hopefully, Bayern will re-enter the market again before the window closes. Bayern is actually gaining 10 mil Euro on transfer this summer by selling Jansen and Schlaudraff. Hopefully, they could come out with a 30mil Euro transfer in the next few days!
