Transfers - suggestions/rumors

  • kuranyi is not worth the money and time. He doesnt produce much when he comes on as subsititute either. I would think that a player like Cassano/ Zarate is much better with better foot technique. If we sign a player like Gomez and Pogrebnyak, it will be very similar as Toni and Klose up front. I dont think thats a great idea as Toni has mispassed many scoring opportunities for us. But he is worldclass if he is in the penalty box.

Beside, we also need to sign another defensive midfielder, as either or both Van Bommel and Ze Roberto will be leaving us by the end of the season.

  • According to goal.com beckenbauer has set 15 milions euros price tag on Podolski.I think that a good amount of money but also i think we can squezze more if english teams want to buy him.

  • 15mil Euros would be a good price for Podolski, as we have already pocketed around 12mil Euros from the sales of Jansen and Schlaudraff. With the extra 15mil Euros, we would have around 27mil Euros in our pocket to spend. In addition, if we are able to put up our normal 25mil Euros transfer budget, we should be able to come up with 55mil Euros this season. In addition, we can get rid of high paid players like Van Bommel, Van Buyten, etc. If we are able to sell Van Buyten and Sosa for a total of around 7-8mil Euros. We would have more than 60mil Euros to spend.

I would like us to sign Tymoschuk(15mil Euros); Rafinha(10-12 mil Euros); Zarate (10-15mil Euros); Marin (8-10mil Euros); Gomez(20 mil Euros). Try to extend Ze Roberto and Schweinstger's contract. Let Sagnol retires if he has to and extend Oddo's loan contract. Get Hummels back from Dortmund. We will have an excellent squad.

  • I think this is quite possible in terms of financials as we are only putting in an extra 20-25mil Euros. The team above would scare of many of the major teams in Europe.
Rafinha would make our weakest link so much stronger with Oddo as a super backup from another loan deal from AC Milan.
In central defence, we still have the old partnership of Lucio and Demichelis. They should be as stable as rock in their normal form. Hummels and Breno as backup should be relatively inexperience, but both of them have lots of talent and will get much more match practice next few years.
On left defence, Lahm would our No.1 choice with Lell as occassional backup. Lell is definitely reliable on some occassions.
In right midfield, Marin will compete with Schweinstger for a right hand spot. Marin is much different from Schweinstger as he is much faster and is a better dribbler, but he isnt as strong as Schweinstger in defence and experience. Kroos (could loan out for more match practice) and Altintop could also compete in this area.
In central midfield, we have the experience and reliable Ze Roberto if he wants to extend his contract with us. Tymoschuk would take up Van Bommel's role but will be much better in tackling. Borowski can be played in a much more advanced role if we are playing a diamond 4-4-2 formation. Ottl can be a substitute for Tymoschuk. Obviously, Altintop and Schweinstger can be played in the middle as well.
On the left, Ribery would be the definite starter. Otherwise, Schweinstger, Kroos and even Marin can play here.
Up front, Toni and Klose would still be around, but will have intensive competition with the up and coming Zarate and the ex-Bundesigla top scorer Gomez. Gomez will take up Toni's role in a season or two, as Toni will probably retire in a few years.

I think with a team like this can compete in all competition and this has a solid fundamental of existing players plus more quality new players to widen the bench width. In addition, those new players are relatively experience in Europe and Bundesigla even thought some of them might still be at a young age. Finally, some of them can even challenege our existing players for a starting 11 spot. I think this team can win Champion League.

  • As most know, Donovan is all but expected to join
FC Bayern. In my view the reason why Klinsmann got him is
because he is a mobile and fast player. He is no super finisher
and being MLS top scorer doesn't mean much given the quality
of the league.... Donovan is a good Forward not a Striker
which means he will go in to play a supporting role for the striker.

I would have really preferred that Bayern would bring on
Kenny Cooper from FC Dallas instead !!! Because Cooper
is a real striker in every sense of the word and is able to produce
goals.... He is likely to be heading to Frankfort I just read.

Coming back to Landon Donovan his job will not be to score
goals, and if he manages to score more than 2 then that would
be a good achievement for him.....

As for the long term Bayern need a new striker this summer
and many of the suggestions written in this forum are very
    good fits for the team......

  • sari11 : Donovan will only be an immediate need for Bayern as Klinsman would love to have 4 strikers available for Bayern. I dont think Donovan's loan contract would be extended through to next year. In fact, I think Klinsman would be interested in signing two strikers for next year, as Podolski will be leaving us too.

  • According to goal.com, Bayern is after Adriano who was suggested to join to Bayern by Sagnol two seasons ago, if you remembered.
    http://www.goal.com/en/news/59…yern-munich-after-adriano

I never doubt his ability and talent, but will he be satisfied to seat on the bench at Bayern. If he is able to find his feet at Bayern, he can definitely be one of the best strikers in the world. Beside, just a note, I think L.Fabiano would be a great option if Bayern is really looking to sign a striker or two next year. And obviously, Gomez, Zarate, Cassano, Pandev would be all great options. But I would prefer L.Fabiano and Zarate if I have to sign two. Gomez is great but he is still unproven in big clubs, just like Podolski when we signed him from Koln. Beside, he plays very similar to Toni and sometimes even to Klose. Unless, we expect Toni to retire at the end of the season, we dont necessary need to sign Gomez yet. In June 2010, we can even grab him for free. Pandev was great last season, but again, his form is very inconsistent. He isnt playing great football this season yet, and not worldclass enough for Bayern. Cassano would be a great addition, but I dont think we will be signing him as he is more interested to stay in Series A.

  • according to chilean media (La Tercera Newspaper...a serious one) Bayern might be interested in Gary Medel, chilean midfielder. He is US$7.7 mil..is pretty versatile playing as CD in NT and in U. Católica as DM...having some running to attack soemtimes...

according to newspaper coach assistant mught have him as first choice..Fiorentina is also interested

    well...we will see

  • i just saw on goal.com that bayern r trying to get inter s Adriano , i think he would be a good sub attacker if he gets his mind right again

    0

  • I dont think Adriano would love to sit on the bench. He is like another "Podolski" case, who always complain, even at Inter. But obviously, we have some Brazilian touch here, like Ze Roberto, Lucio and Breno. Hopefully, these players can calm down his wild lifestyle. If he is able to perform, he is definitely one of the best strikers in the world, with powerful left foot.

  • very right with u that would also give bayern some more brazilian great football and a mijxage between german football and brazilian football is very attracting and effective

i think if he would like to come he has to know what he s in for, its a pity a player like makaay isnt still with bayern , if he would have accepted to start at the becnh he would surely be of goodness to bayern again : )

  • I guess the Podolski saga has taken a new twist....
As Beckenbauer said that Podolski can leave for 15M Euros ! The Kaiser also admitted that Podolski does not fit in with the team's style of play.

    http://www.goal.com/en/news/59…leave-for-15m-beckenbauer

Therefore, this reopens the door for the purchase of a new striker. I am not crazy about the Adriano option because he is slow... I would really prefer the young Uruguayan talent Luis Suarez who plays for Ajax (#16). he was impressive in
    UEFA Cup against Hamburg.....
    Or if the budget permits,
why not try to go for Huntelaar as a long term project !

  • once again huntelaar.he is perfect and now if this is true that he likes to play in the BL i guess his first choice would be bayern(if we want him). But once again Toni,Klose, huntelaar who will be first choice

    0

  • Huntelaar is great in terms of scoring record in Ajax, but again, in international matches, he has hardly shown up his worth yet. Beside, his physical strength is quite weak. I am not sure will he be successful in Bundesilga and Europe. In addition, Huntelaar probably would cost around 10-15mil Euros and for that price, I would rather sign Cassano or L.Fabiano or Zarate, even L.Fabiano might be a bit more than 15mil Euros.

    0

  • players like huntelaar i think they r the same as podolski , if they r benched they will rebel and when they play they dont do anything so its better if we get some experienced player up front which will not rebel if he s at the bench

    0

  • and suddenly the transfer period seems more interesting....well seing the ucl matches this week, i can't help it from saying that Gourcouff it's a super dream.....meaning, he will be the right replacement for van bommel since the summer....he's a CM that can do good defensive work, and appears great in the attack part.....the only problem would be Mailand, since they own the player and i don't think they will want to sell him...

    4

  • yess gourcuff would be good but i dont think van bommel is leaving... its a pity if he leaves , he s great in midfild and adapted well in bayern midifeld

    0

  • I dont mind seeing Van Bommel leaves, if we are able to grab a better replacement. Gourcuff is more suitable as an attacking midfielder, but he delievers great balls upfront. But he isnt a proper defensive midfielder either. I would rather see Tymoschuk coming. In fact, he is my No.1 choice for Van Bommel's replacement. Secondly would be Veloso.

    0

  • tymochuk would be good for bayern but still it wouldnt be the same with van bommel leaving , he s been at bayern for a while now and a replacement would see bayern midfield going to some crisis again i think

    0

  • Including this season, Van Bommel has only been here for 3 seasons. He is not like Kahn, who had been in Bayern for decade. I dont think he will create much unstabilization factor if he ever leaves.
