and see Breno, Hummels, Kroos, Altintop and Helmes play almost regularly to let the other players recover faster.

about ibisevic.....i can bet most of us haven't heard a thing about the player before this season......and 1 season at a small team doesn't count....look at poldy, who had several good season at koln, and can't find himself here....besides that, we are just at the middle of the season, we won't know for sure that ibisevic will continue after the break in the same way, scoring another 17-18 goals....

but the most important thing, i think is the way klinsy and hoeness will cooperate this transfer period and in the summer too....and with that i mean, that klinsy can agree with whatever player hoeness propose, and will try hard to make an easy accomodation to the team for that player.....but i think that i will have to be the other way around, meaning that klinsy, at the end of the season should say what exactly he needs( and i don't mean just the name of the players but the positions and the roles he doesn't have players for....)and of course, hearing out the team requests, will be great.....
-------------------------------------------------------
It will sound as I'm not objective since he's Bosnian, but his goals are even more for appreciation because of his team. He scored goals against big teams. I would even say that they are not small team in footballing manner. What I find as a problem is that he probably wouldn't get a real chance at Bayern. He's a type of player who must play or he will deteriorate. It would be wise to keep an eye on him and see what he can do, and if we bring him, he should be brought as a first team player. But that is unlikely to happen...

  • I think Ibisevic would be a great striker for us. I dont think he will be one of those "small clubs" faults. His finish inside the penalty is excellent plus he has the speed and creativity to bring the ball forward which both Klose and Toni dont have that. He is physcically tall enough to use his head for goals too.

thoth : I dont think we can let go of so many midfielders. After our current midfielders leaving, we will have only Kroos, Altintop and Ottl as backup. Thats too thin for bench width.

hectorpacheco : Unlike Podolski, Klose is definitely a different person/striker. He is one of those strikers who is willing to secarify for other strikers, if proven, he wasnt fit at that moment. Klose was on the bench for a few games this season and he never complain. Beside, Klose would be 31 years old next season and I dont think he would like to test a new environment when he will be turning 32/33 years old. He would be ok with the rotation policy.

I think if we are able to bring 3-4 worldclass new players next season, we would be one of the serious contenders for Champion League along with Man Utd, Chelsea, AC Milan, and Barcelona. My suggestion is to keep Ze Roberto and Schweinstger. Get Tymoschuck, Rafinha, Ibisevic, Gourcuff, although I think is nicer to grab a right winger. I think Klinsman will keep faith on Schweinstger and Altintop on the right in reality.

  • Why do you keep putting Schweinsteiger in your line-up? Hasn't he showed enough the last 2 month that he doesn't bring enough and that we're better off without him?

bbjtin, Bayern have a better squad than Chelsea and Milan this season. :)

Milan's defence is full of pensioners and their only decent defender is Oddo and he is on loan at fcb
Chelsea can't win at home to save themselves. They are already out of the carling cup, they are not even through to the last 16 of the cl yet and they are playing Ballack in DM. They even lost at home to an Arsenal team with an average age of 22/23!

  • AC Milan isn't playing CL this year. Chelsea will end very closely this year, a fully fit and fresh Essien in February will be the key to succes for them. And if Drogba starts to make goals and find his old form back there will be no one who can compete them

  • bbjtin : no offence mate, but u seem to have a problem with schweiny, not like yohannes does, but close...i mean, in ur previous posts u sugessted to put schweiny in the middle as a cm or am, and now ur moving him back to the right wing....
    can u see my point???

I cannot believe this.... Your are very controversial in this forum. Bastian Schweinsteiger please give your best shot against Stuttgart & Lyon.

  • I think Schweinstger is much better playing at AM or CM as I have stated my reasons many times ago. But if Klinsman and Hoeness wont sign a new right winger, then I guess Schweinstger still has to play in that role, otherwise, we could only use Altintop there, as both Kroos and Sosa are not good enough to be regulars yet

  • He disappointed as RM and CAM, and to play in a central role he also lacks quality. If he wouldn't have been a youth product we would already have sold him to Bielefeld or Cottbus

PMs -> ...for that, declaration of principles that got nothing to do with the topic discussed here, ive learnt the option is PMs... if you go backwards, youll see i had a severe fight with some guys here behaving as idiots insulting one for having an opinion..but in a real rude way...

and btw the post by chrisco was a question..even if it clearly shows anger or sth its a question that the asked author could have answered... thats my opinion (in debating that kind of question mean 2 things: you can win with it if thats your intervention and the other team can't answer it or it may make your arguments weak and put you in a complicated position if in fact the other team answers with good argumentation....the forum is not vry different to a debate... difference here is that we dont use trustworthy source here to defend our arguments and we are not chasing a victory over the other team..its like constant rebutal speech but with opinions...)

  • Is Schweinstger outstanding for the past 2 seasons? No, but he plays comfortably and contributes a lot on both attack and defense from match to match. But obviously, he isnt a player that we wish to see, like scoring mid-range goal and providing assists and dribbling past defenders like Ribery. In fact, he actually does provide more defensive help than Ze Roberto and Ribery when both of them are dribbling up there. It is ok that different players have different role

  • @yohanespaschalis: Completely agree with you on Bremen's policy. Bremen was a club who constantly keeps up with Bayern on domestic front for the past several seasons, but as you are always letting your best players leave and the signing unknown talent to replace existing players. It wont work in long term. Bremen was lucky for a while as they have turned Diego into a well known star from an underperformer back in Portugal. And players like Mertesacker has grown a lot since moving to Bremen. But there were plenty of players who cant take up the role of Klose and Borowski leaving them.

I dont think we need Mertesacker here as we have already had two worldclass defenders- Lucio and Demichelis. Mertesacker is very similar to Lucio and Van Buyten but obviously Lucio is a bit better than him. Ozil and Arront Hunt probably wont deserve a starting place at Bayern, just like Borowski. Diego on the other hand would be useful for Bayern as we could switch our formation to diamond formation and obviously if we drop Diego, we could also switch back to 2 DMs midfield. This allows us with more selection and formation possibility. But obviously, Diego is their last jewel and if we are able to sign him at a resonable price from Bremen. He would be useful for us. Beside, our old buddy, Frings, wont be a bad signing either as he probably will cost very little at the moment as his contract and age is near the end of his career. But he can still play at a very high level for Bremen and National team. I think he could replace Ze Roberto if Ze Roberto only decides to extend for another season.

  • signing someone over 30 to replace someone over 30 won't solve the problem...only delay it or even make it worse.....

truly? u can sell chrisco?hmm, if u can make an auction on e-bay on selling chrisco, than i'm in....from what i've heard he used to play football in belgium second division, and i bet it will be a good signing for the local team of my litte town....give me a call yohannes and we might have a deal....

  • Beside, from Bild.com, Bayern is targetting Olic to replace Podolski. Olic will be replaced as free transfer. Bayern Munich is really loving to target free transfer these days.
    http://www.bild.de/BILD/sport/…kroaten-star-vom-hsv.html

I hope that Bayern is really saving up some money to acquire real worldclass stars, not signing medicore players from free transfer. Bayern can now sign Tymoshchuk (15mil Euros); Gourcuff (15mil Euros); Olic (free transfer); Rafinha (12mil Euros); and Arshavin (15mil Euros). After selling both Jansen and Schlaudraff, we have already pocket 12-15mil Euros. We can sell players to generate some more - Podolski (15-20mil Euros); Donnovan and Oddo (both return); Gortilz and Van Bommel (leave for free) and Sosa (5-8mil Euros). Conservatively, we just need to spend 25mil Euros which is around our annual budget (beside, we spent nothing like summer) to acquire all five new star players.

  • i am only curious where did u find out that arshavin and gourcouff will be available first of all and secondly how come for 15 million....

    4

  • Gourcouff is quoted in some of those press as this price and I think that is around fair for a player like him. I would guess the price would probably be slightly lower- around 12-15mil Euros.

Arshavin was quoted at around 20-25mil Euros as of last season, but after a season of decent performance in Zenit, his worth will be significantly decrease to 15-20mil Euros plus his contract will be expired at 2010. In addition, Arshavin really wants to leave Zenit and looks for a new adventure. Therefore, I believe 15mil Euros would be a reasonable price.
