Transfers - suggestions/rumors

  • On Olic, I think Bayern is planning to sign him as a super sub, as he does have speed to disturb opponents' defence in the last 30 minutes or so. Beside, he could be the only striker of us who can break through stubborn defence and go for a 1 on 1 situation with keeper as both Toni and Klose arent able to do those 1 on 1 situation as they have very little speed.

On Schweinstger, I think Carlos Eduardo's position can vary from left winger/right winger to central midfielder (current role). His freekicks and long shots are famous in Bundesilga now as he does have speed and technique to break through defence in the middle where we are lack of right now. Schweinstger will have to move inside if we give Carlos Eduardo the right midfielder spot. Obviously for next season, Ze Roberto could still be the regular player on that role but eventually he will retire and Schweinstger can take over. Van Bommel, the more defensive one in our midfield, will be replaced by Tymoschuk.

On Hoeness, I hope that he can leave us as soon as possible as he doesnt have the courage to carry this team forward. Lyon Chairman is declaring that they are aiming to sign the best players and forget about financial budget for the next 3 years. I hope that Bayern can follow their committment as the board has declared to sign worldclass stars than signing three average players. I hope that they dont only sign average players in the free transfer window like Borowski and Olic. Both of them are very effective players and will add depth for our bench but will not break into our first team squad.

schweinsteiger will have to improve or klinsy will have to give up on him....and again ur carlos eduardo isnt a right winger, he currently doesn't play on that position...is true that he can cover that position just as schweiny can cover that position or any midfield postion in the team....the problem is how good is he???
if u really want sth good for our mifield then its very simple: ze to retire, tymo in, van bommel moving into a more attacking role or let go and brought an attacking midfielder in,der schwein sold, and a proper winger in.....plus the right back position that needs to be taken care of......

  • I think Tymoschuk will join Bayern and will compete with Van Bommel on a regular spot. I dont see Van Bommel taking over Ze Roberto's role, as he doesnt have the technical expertise as Ze Roberto. But Van Bommel is better at mid-range shots where we are lack of today.

I see Tymoschuk join us this summer and I would love to sign Carlos Eduardo as well. He can be a successor of Ze Roberto or even would a great addition to our midfield. Carlos Eduardo actually did play left midfielder and right midfielder before in Brazil before he moved to Germany. Now, he is playing a much diffferent role. I can see him switching sides with Ribery during a match. And Schweinstger and Tymoschuk can play in the middle as Schweinstger will help out Ribery and Lahm on the left and he can also assist on some mid-range shots as he is very good at that. Ze Roberto and Van Bommel can battle for a regular spot as well. But Ze Roberto will only have a season or two left in him.

der schwein will never play in the middle not as long as van bommel is at the team....adn with tymoschuk in, he won't have to compete with nobody for his position since he will get the defensive role and bommel will change onto a more attacking role.....if bommel will leave, adn teh defensive role is secure THAN we may talk about carlos eduardo or another attacking midifielder....
And for the name of lord try to stop dreaming about your schwein playing in the middle....start dreaming him playing better and better, improving, creating chances, crossing, running, dribbling, passing better, shooting, taking corners and free kicks better.....

I liked tmarvola 's suggestion of Veloso
And also bbjtin 's suggestion of Carlos Eduardo.

Very good ideas because they fit in the scheme
of fast paced attacking football style that Klinsmann
is trying to establish... I don't think we need 3 Ronaldinhos (i wish !!!)
but we need the right players that can do the job,
and can play the coach's new style.. That would be the best fit in
trying to complete the pieces of the puzzule.

  • In terms of transfer rumors, Bayern is also tracking Ribery's national team partner, Malouda, from Chelsea. Apparently, Chelsea is willing to sell Malouda for 8mil pounds, obviously, under economic environment like this, Chelsea might even consider selling him for 8mil Euros. If thats the case, we could consider having Malouda and Ribery on the wing. Tymoschuk and Van Bommel in the middle. Borowski, Schweinstger, Ze Roberto and Altintop can all challenege for a starting berth as well. Loan both Sosa and Kroos out. Ottl stands as a backup for Tymoschuk.

  • u do not need ottl as a back up for tymoschuck with altintop and ze roberto in the team.....and ur taking tymoschuck's signing for granted.....and besides that i doubt that malouda will choose bayern, he's the kind of player that gives his best in a team that has a fast game, based on fast counter attacks like most of the top british teams......we only base our counter attacks on lahm-ze-ribery.....
besides that he's a left winger, position we do not need....he can play as well behind the strikers, or even on the right side, but he's not a proper right winger....

  • geoldes : I didnt take signing Tymoschuk for granted. This forum isnt about facts. It is about opinions. I think Tymoschuk would be a great signing for Bayern and he compete with Van Bommel/Ze Roberto for a starting spot.

On Malouda, Chelsea is definitely aiming to sell him. They are in a hurry to raise cash to make some quality signings as Abramovich isnt really interested to spend anymore money in Chelsea. But the problem is that will Malouda join Bayern? I think he is a good option for us. He can compete with Schweinstger on a right winger spot, as Ribery played as right winger for France national team in WC06 and then he switched to the left for Bayern. I think Malouda can do the same. Many wingers switch sides throughout their career. In addition, Malouda is left footed and he can definitely play on the right as Ribery can play on the left with his right foot.

  • Another discussion here: This is just personal suggestion. Do you think we should get Michael Ballack back to replace Van Bommel/Ze Roberto? Although both might eventually decide to stay on for another season, as everybody knows that both players are aging and not getting any younger. Maybe we need a few more players to rotate with them as both players are playing almost every single game this season so far for us as Ottl and Borowski only had a few games in between.

Although Ballack isnt much younger either, having three experienced players work. This can lay off some responsibility and work rate for both aging stars. Beside, Ballack still hasnt decided to sign an extension with Chelsea yet, meaning that Ballack can leave for free in the summer. Ballack isnt exactly having the best time there either as I can see from the past few matches. He was sitting on the bench for most of the time. If Ballack decides to join Bayern. We definitely have another attack alternative than just passing every ball to Ribery. In addition, signing a worldclass star like Ballack will make Ribery happy to extend his contract with Bayern for longer.

Obviously, Ballack isnt the same Ballack as three seasons ago and many of us here will never forgive him of leaving us for free to Chelsea. On the other hand, a quality player like him can definitely play for at least another 2-3 years (just look at Ze Roberto!) coming for free. Beside, he indeed will immediately add value to Bayern as he has lots of experience in Bundesilga and Champion League. He will provide things that we are lack of right now- mid-range shots from the middle; attack alternative than Ribery; and great header from freekicks.

  • we cannot afford ballack, and as u said he's definetly not the same player, plus we do not need him: he isn't as offensive as bommel can be with the ball on his feet, and he's slower than him......yes, we all appreciate his long range shots, and his free kicks, and his headers, but NO!

    4

  • I am not sure why we cant afford Ballack. First, he isnt very expensive now as he is approaching 33 years old with his contract expiring at the end of the summer and he still hasnt yet signed an extension. Secondly, I think Ballack left us 3 seasons ago was to look for a new challenege oversea and he did that already. Lastly, I still think that he would be a valuable addition to any team. Obviously, Ballack will not have a permanent role as before. It is taken by Ribery now. But we need more leadership in this team. I agree that Van Bommel can play a more advanced role if Tymoschuck does come to Bayern. Anyways, I still think that Ballack can end up his career at Bayern rather than Chelsea. But for now, being realtistic here, I hope Hoeness can make these transfers which I think is very reasonable even under poor economy environment like now.

    In: Olic (free transfer); Tymoschuck (15mil Euros); Malouda (8-10mil Euros); Rafinha (8-10mil Euros);
Out: Kroos (Loan); Gortilz (End of contract); Oddo(Return); Podolski (15mil Euros); Hummels (5mil Euros)

  • when i said we can't afford him, i meant his salary.....his currently earning around 9 millions euro a year at chelsea and i doubt that our board is willing to pay that amount of money for a player.....and i doubt that our board will be interrested in him now.....
but ure right, ballack can end up his career here and not at chelsea but what's the point of that?why should he come?he isn't the same that left, and if u look at this squad carefuly enough u would realize that he will only slow us down: we play down the wings and we play a bit more faster than we used to before ribery, so he's useless to our gameplay....
and the most important reason is that most of the bayern fan's won't forgive him for leaving, and will give him a hard time here.....

what's surprising me is that u put hummels out on a transfer fee...why?in a few of years lucio will want to retire, or he will have to give up his first place because of age and condition, and what then? buy a new defender?
in my oppinion hummels shout be loaned out again, for another season or 2 seasons, or if he returns than we should sell buyten......

    4

  • I am not sure if Hoeness and Klinsman will be loaning out Hummels for another season. It seems to me that they are willing to sell him for that amount of money to Dortmund. And obviously, nothing is concrete yet.

Beside, bad news for Bayern fans. Ribery is aiming to leave Bayern to join the big guns in UK or Spain.
    http://www.goal.com/en/news/59…ry-reveals-transfer-dream

Obviously, his contract will run until June 2011. Hoeness and Bayern are trying to extend his contract beyond then. But I think we will have a very difficult time to convince him to stay here beyond 2011. Is it why we are linking with Malouda? Selling Ribery and buy a few players in exchange? I hope not.

    0

  • ur mind plays tricks on you....we won't sell ribery, and he will extend, but only and only if we will buy a couple of good players, so that we won't continue to put the entire pressure on his shoulders....why do u think he left marseille? he left mediocrity for sth better.....if we continue to be mediocre on european level, than i'm sure he will leave, and not only him, lahm will do the same, maybe even klose and toni, though for them bayern may be the last club of their career considering that one is 30 and the other one 31.....
i think that bommel will want to stay for another season, but only if he has the certainty that improvements will be done, if not, i believe he will want to move back to holland......

Ribery will leave if Bayern dont bring in quality players needed to make the team stronger to win the CL, so if he realizes that Hoeness is wasting time and playing cheap then he will try to join another club that has a better chance of winning . He already has won the bundesliga and german cup and he wants a CL medal now so Hoeness had better start looking for some quality if he wants to keep Ribery around here.

    0

  • Not just on keeping Ribery, but also players like Lahm, Demichelis, etc... I think Hoeness should really step down and let somebody who is more convincing to step forward. And I believe if Bayern didnt sign any quality player in the coming summer, quality players will never come to Bayern anymore as they have lied many times that they would be looking for worldclass stars instead of the medicore players. But in fact, when you look at the players that we bought in Borowski and Donovan? I mean can we really invest and sign some quality players? ok fine, we tried to sign Gattuso, Hleb, etc. But none of these has succeeded.

I am not saying that Bayern can sign stars like Kaka, or Messi. That will never happen, but at least we could sign players like Malouda, Tymoschuck, etc. Those are pretty reasonable.

Hopefully, Hoeness keeps his promise and sign some stars. Stop looking at the financials for a season and two and really sign some top quality players. Beside, last season, we have profited around 12-13mil Euros on selling players. We should at least spend 30mil Euros this season without selling Podolski. If we are planning to sell Podolski, we have to spend 45-50mil Euros.

  • I think signing Ballack in the summer would be fantastic for fcbayern.
1)He is still a very good player.
2)He has not signed a new contract at chelsea yet and he will not if he has to compete with Lamps, deco and essien.
3)He wants to win the cl and chelsea will be knocked out of the last sixteen this year by juve.
4)Ballack and Ribery in midfield could beat anyone! :D

    or NOT!!!

  • Guess that Toni is really happy staying at Bayern, he said if Bayern don't kick him out, he'll stay... just hope that his age won't interfere in his performances :-) so we'll have Toni at least until 2011, and if he continues until then to give solid performances for Bayern, why not extend his contract :-) and he, I guess, is willing to extend it... that's good news... but, about Ribery, that's really concerning me... he must extend his contract :-), cuz I don't think that there's a good player enough to cover Ribery if he leaves after 2011. He is the BEST!!!
