We can still get him back as Ballack would never except a contract which says he will get paid by each game he plays as, if he is injured and he doesn't get paid then how is he supposed to pay the bills and pay for food,drink and clothes?
He has 3 children to take care of and also owns 3 or 4 houses/holiday homes.
Also why would he sign on at chelski if he is going to sit on the bench, where as at Bayern he would be guranteed to start alongside Ribery.

Get over the ballack issue please!! there are other guys out there that can even come as free transfers as Eboue from Arsenal..hes a game guy, does lots of passes, participates in creation (my opinion from what ive seen)..
Olic is superb signing!! a working striker for gods sake! to replace the spoiled kid..thats more than good!.. and donovan..we need to rotate up there so its good too..so im really happy about the strikers spot..and i hope we can sell podolski to either köln or Roma..i dont care..if he leaves and leave us money..its alright for me

I think Bayern will be signing another attacking player along with Olic since Podolski will almost certainly leaving us in the summer and Donovan will probably finish his loan with us by Mar09.
Anyhow, I think we should really think about who should really get and also the cost as well as their position. So far Olic and Tymoschuk are pretty much confirmed. Schweinstger has also extended his contract. Van Bommel and Ze Roberto have a good chance of renewing too.
Some rumor also says that Bayern might sell Kroos + cash to Stuggart to get Gomez. This can definitely lower the price of Gomez. And we can afford it.
i think selling kroos will be a big mistake which surely bayern wont accept i think. kroos is one of the future stars at bayern just like schweinsteiger , lahm etc , about attackers i think bayern will see how donovan goes during his laon at bayern and if he does well maybe in summer he may come
about olic i would like to say that he will be a very good player at bayern he s experienced, knows german football and has also played in europe, but podolski s case is a bit akward he cant pretend be in the starting line up cos when he plays he can never be matched to toni and klose, im sure he will be great again at cologne tough

That you still have hope that he'll perform... And he has nothing to want here. He got a new contract, earns to much for what he performed and is full of his self.
Other than that, Klinsman has also commented that Bayern and Hoeness is trying to promote Bayern into one of the European giants in the next 6 months. By doing so, he hopes that it can keep Ribery and stars at Bayern for longer, b/c he understands that players dont care about earning about another million or so. In fact, they want trophies instead. For now, Bayern has extended Demichelis and Schweinstger's contracts. In addition, it has almost confirmed signing of Olic and Tymoschuk. The possibility of Van Bommel and Ze Roberto's extension are high as well. In March/April, they will consider to buy out Oddo's loan deal or not. I think Bayern can sign Oddo as a backup but for long term perspective, I think Rafinha or Abou Diaby would be a better solution for long term for the right defender spot. In addition, I really want Bayern to sign a real worldclass player once a year. Neither Olic nor Tymoschuk is a worldclass star.
I think right winger spot is again another weakness, another striker, and possibilly an attacking midfielder. Things that we could improve furthur even after our three necessary signings from above. Walcott from Arsenal would be an interesting up and talent solution for our right winger or semi-striker solution.
