good but not enough.....tymo in the middle to replace, ze/ bommel, isn't enough for a good midfielder line, as long as we don't have a good right winger, we still have problems....plus the thing that tymo plays more defensive than ze, an the triangle lahm-ze-ribery seems to be our brain......even though bommel could, and definetly should play more offensive, or brorowsky would replace bommel in the summer, that's still not enough.....a good center/attacking center midfielder is needed not to mention a right wing back, and a right attacking winger...
Transfers - suggestions/rumors

Tymoschuk is coming to replace Van Bommel, as Van Bommel's contract extension deadline has expired. Ze Roberto will probably extend his contract for another season. So, our left side with Ribery, Ze Roberto and Lahm should be quite stable. We only need to worry about our right side as Schweinstger has been playing quite inconsistent. Beside, we are also lack of speed and technique up front with both Klose and Toni aging.

Folks, Bayern have bought for $14 million, a 29 year old unproven above average defensive midfielder..... yes that is Tymoshchuk.
My point is alot of money has been wasted in this transfer AND
the midfield is jammed with players.
We have Borowski and Hamit both sitting on the sidelines...
To clear up some room Both Ze and Van Bommel should not come back next year.....Now my real grumpy issue is: Podolski went for cheap,
while Toni and Klose are declining in form and will be even worse next year.In Conclusion, Bayern has to buy Strickers first not midfielders...
And if Olic is superman then why would Hamburg not hold on to him.
One excellent fit for Bayern is AMAURI of Juventus who is a real
target man, his style is in between Toni's strenght and Klose's ball control and dribbling.....
IF the 14 million had been spent towards a player like AMAURI then they would have been spent in a better way.I don't blame any player who wants to leave Bayern from this day on !!!
The recruitment policy is truly missmanaged...
If Ribery wants to leave I will applaude him.... because the CL is not gonna come our way anytime soon this decade !!!! LOOOOOOOOOOL !I am saying all that because I love FC Bayern more than anything

Cheers ;)
-------------------------------------------------------Borowski and Hamit cant replace to Van Bommel or because they arent defensive midfielders. Tymoshchuk is a proper dfensive midfielder.
Amauri is 28 years old, He has almost the same age than Tymoschuk.

I know, I hope that Van Bommel stays with us as he would be a nice player to have on the bench. He will definitely add depth in our team.
I agree that Tymoschuk is needed and much anticapted. But we need to sign a right defender, a right winger/attacking midfielder and possibilly another striker to complete our summer signings.
-
first of all congrats to bayern for brining tymoschuk im sure he ll be of need, second i would like to say that it would be GREAT if van bommel extends with us , we ll need him , and for CL the more star players u have the more chance u have of winning it so they will all be of help no matter if a player comes or goes

Hector,
yes Borowski can get into the team and so can Hamit,
IF Klinsmann changes the system and gives Ribery playmaker duties,
sends Schweinsteiger back on the left.
Hamit will take the Right outside midfielder, and Borowski can play
a holding role behind Ribery and in front of the central defenders !!!When there is a will, there is a way
Nothing is unsolvable.Cheers

forgot to Answer the AMAURI question..... !
He is a true and tested player that can give an instant
impact and a positive boost to the attack.
A very well proven stricker, he can come in an contribute from day 1.ps: Another piece of the mysterious jiggasaw puzzle that Uli is building...
He signs in Alexander Baumjohann on a 3 year deal, YET sends out
Toni Kroos on a 2 year loan deal !!!!! loooooooool ! What is Baumjohan
gonna do other than warm the bench like his predecessors:
Shlaudraff, Jensen, Podolski and Co.Fannnntastic !! LOL !
This is what is called hampering the growth of Young German Talent ! :-O

ribery must not change sides....he combines very well with lahm.....altintop is a good player, and he can take up the missing spot as a right wing back......but schweinsteiger must go, or be left on the bench(though im sure that neither hoeness nor klinsmann will even consider a proper right winger)
borowsky could be tested, lets say for half a season, playing in an offenisive role, if bommel goes.....and tymo's role can't be argued...... -
I think Ribery, Ze Roberto and Lahm combine really welll on the left. I wouldnt prefer to change this mix. Ze Roberto probably wont be playing as long as Ribery and Lahm. Therefore, players like Borowski and Schweinstger can play for Ze Roberto eventually. On the right winger, Altintop and Schweinstger can rotate to play there. On the defensive role, Tymoschuk, Van Bommel (if he stays) and Ottl will battle out for a place or two.
I think Bayern needs to buy another striker and a right defender at the min. To be honest with you, I dont see much reason to buy Baumjohann. I guess Hoeness is in love with the free transfer market these days. Thats why he got him to warm the bench. I hope Hoeness can really buy someone like Ribery or Toni or Lahm to challenege the first team spot, not players like Olic and Baumjohann. We have enough of those players within our squads isnt it? Ottl, Lell, Sosa, Kroos (loan out)...
I hope Bayern can sign Drogba and Rafinha for next season and then we will complete our signings.

@ Sari
Borowski is not a defensive midfielder. I think that he never played in that position.

Drogba? Bayern need a young striker.

Borowski initially was a defensive midfielder.....
(before 2005, as far as I can remember!)Tim is good at Tackling, along with Passing and has a good Vision of the game,
these are attributes of a good DM.Borowski's current "official" playing position is listed as Central Midfielder.
This to me is proof enough that he can fit the role, and that Bayern
are not obliged to buy Yaya Toure from Barcelona to have a 194 cm
Defensive Midfielder (ie: ball recuperator - ball distributor).I remember Tim substituting for Frings in the German national team,
and playing as a DM.On a different note, Ze Roberto switched from an Attacking Left Midfielder
to a DM ...... !In summary, a defensive midfielder ("holding midfielder")
is actually a central midfielder who is stationed in front of the defenders.Cheers

I dont share your opinion, but I respect that.
I think that Borowski is not a proper defensive midfielder. Maybe he was, but now not. He is most effective in a more offensive role.

Borowski wasnt a proper defensive midfielder but he is like Michael Ballack who can defend as well. He is unlike Diego, Kaka those kind of attacking midfielder. I think if Bayern is playing a diamond formation, Borowski play as an attacking midfielder. But even at today's formation, where Van Bommel is more defensive than Ze Roberto, Borowski can definitely play as Ze Roberto's spot, which also contribute some defensive role there, but more advanced than the Van Bommel spot.
-
again...bommel is playing more defensive because he has to in the current team. but with tymoschuck in, bommel can move up front, to play a more offensive role, like he used to, at psv.....plus borowsky, playing as an attacking midfielder lacks, because he has not the proper tehnique and speed, to play that role; but as a center midfielder, with an offensive style, that he can do...the question is: is he better than bommel on that role, so he can replace bommel, and be more effective than him? or borowsky is just a quality substitution?

Yes but Ballack is much better at defending and attacking than Borowski.
Ballack is also much better than van bommel as he is more mature, better at attacking, better at defending and is a much better captain than van bommel.
