    Bastos did play well at Lyon and also if Bayern maintains this ball possession game, Bastos will be very suitable for this type of game.

    I hope this winter we'll see 3 transfers: Capdevilla, Hummels and Dzeko and see Demichelis, Braafheid, Ottl and Gomez leaving.


    The team is in desperate need for better defenders and where available I'd love to see Germans.

    Actually, if Gomez is able to recover his form and confidence, I dont mind us selling Demichelis (90% leaving), Braafheid (60%), Ottl (60%), and Klose (50%). With that, I hope we could sign a few quality players (2-3)

    agree with you bbjtin, maybe ottl & braafheid no... but on demichelis yes & klose now s getting old so it would be more wise to sel him now that he s in good shape... on braafheid maybe we should leave him as backup defender, as i dont think contento will be our starting LB in coming future... maybe we should get a good quality LB & braafheid as backup & loan contento out to some lower quality club to get some playing time... that would also be a good option for ottl, we shouldn`t sell our promising stars... just loan them out to gainsome experience

    To be honest, with 30mil Euros to spend plus selling all my suggested players (Demichelis, Van Buyten, Braafheid, Ottl and Klose), we should have more than 45mil Euros to spend. With that in mind, we should be able to sign a left defender, a striker and a central defender. For bigger signings, like Neuer and Dzeko, we could wait until the end of the season

    We need a excellent defender.I hope to buy Geromel whose ability has been proven many times in Bundesliga.Especially,VS Bayern......and he can play the Champions League.I don't think we should buy striker before next summer.Gomez need a suited tactics ,he need the space.Through the last game,I think Van Gaal maybe changes his ideas.No team always use the same tactics.The confidence and suited tactics can relive Gomez.

    Geromel isnt a good choice as he is keen to move onto a bigger stage where Koln will not satisfy his desire for too long.

    Can Bayern try to buy Rooney as well? Just imagine, Robben, Ribery, Rooney with in form Gomez. It will be a very dangerous attack. Most importantly we need defenders like Hummels. I still believe we are 4 signings away to win the CL title.


    We also need a new goalkeeper as well, although it is the piroity for the next season.

    I think we are about 4-5 worldclass signings from winning Champion League, but again, we have to do it quick because both Robben and Ribery might not have many years under them. Even though both players are considered to be young, but they are already been through several major injuries. Without speed, both players are just average good players in Europe.

    @ sivaram - Rooney would never join Bayern even tho I think he would be the perfect lone striker for the Bundesliga and Bayern's current 4-2-3-1 (Good aerial presence, Fast, Solid on his feet, Good long range shots and good dribbling skills)


    I really hope during the winter they bring Hummels and a left/right back and a top striker because Golez&Klose are useless at the club atm

    fcbayerncat : In addition to that, Sahin's buyout clause is only 6mil Euros. That means that we could get a potential worldclass player for relatively cheap value. Why not?


    Tymoshchuk is not happy with his role as central defender; therefore, this wont be a long term solution as Tymoshchuk could be on his way out this winter already

    For the mid term transfers, it doesn't have to be big names.
    It is not about spending and loans can do too.
    Just a couple smart additions that will support the defensive and the offensive sectors... First to add some depth, second to compensate for
    all the players that wish to leave there could be more than Micho departing.


    Leave the big galactico recruits for the summer. Cannot think of a star
    name that will jump on board in an uncertain season half way through.

    I think for winter transfer period, we need a big worldclass star for central defender position and possibilly a creative attacking midfielder as Kroos is clearly not up to task yet. In addition, Kroos seems to play better in central midfielder alongside with Schweinsteiger than playing in either flank.

    If Ribery continues to be injuried for at least 2 months every season, I dont mind selling him to Man Utd for 30-35mil pounds. As we could use that capital to sign someone with great speed and potential. On top of that, I think Bale would be a great addition for our left defender position if we decide to sign a quality left defender. In addition, Bale would be great for another 5-10 years.

    Thats great as Van Bommel's performance has significantly dropped this season with increasing injuries. I dont mind seeing a better and younger partner for Schweinsteiger next season
