kahn would make a HUGE assistant i can already immagine him having beside him a van gaal type of coach which is a bit soft in my opinion during matches...kahn would be raging to players instead of him lol
Transfers - suggestions/rumors

you've gotta be kidding about benitez..
-
I am not kidding about Benitez. Many might not agree with his transfer policy which he does waste a lot of money in Liverpool and didnt win a Premiership title for them. But his tactic in Champion League or Europa League is superb and nobody can doubt that when he got both Valencia and Liverpool to the highest with an average team in Europe compared to the like Milan, Barcelona and Chelsea back at the time.
But Bundesilga isnt as competitive as Premiership in terms of level of playing field, so I dont think he cant get us into the top three finishes in Bundesilga, if not winning the title for us.
I dont want another coach who can win a domestic double for us in the two seasons and can only get us into quarter-final in Champion League

benitez is the kind of manager that u have to give him a 3 year minimum contract, for him to grow, he would be a solution.....
-
For next season, we need to buy 5-7 quality worldclass players in order for Bayern to compete in Champion League.
My suggestion to buy is here:
Neuer (20mil Euros)
Coentrao (20mil Euros)
Vidal (15mil Euros)
Vargas (15mil Euros)
Subotic (15mil Euros)
Chiellini (15mil Euros)
Ekici (Back on loan)
Klose (Extend contract)Out:
Butt (retirement)
Kraft (Free transfer if he doesnt extend his contract)
Breno (4mil Euros)
Van Buyten (3mil Euros)
Ottl (Free transfer)
Altintop (Free transfer)
Pranjic (7mil Euros)Although this will be a huge sum of transfer of 85mil Euros, Bayern needs to make this fund available. Otherwise, we probably wont win Champion League anytime soon. This team is so lack of depth that we were running out of idea against Freiburg.

bbjtin : Benitez? You must be joking....we may win CL one times but then what happens in the next 3-5 years? Europa League or none at all? No more homegrown players? Just see current Liverpool team and you will understand what I mean. In the past, Liverpool was great team with great youth policy. Enter Benitez, and no one since Michael Owen (who was discovered by Houllier before him). And when you look at Inter with him as coach...hmmm, thanks but no, thanks....I think.
I believe that we need coach who is good at organizing the defence, because our defence is a joke (when you play DM as DC for almost the whole season, one must wonder what is wrong with this team and the management). But not so many of them, I can think of Jose Mourinho, Ottmar Hitzfeld. Heynkess is not too good in defence but he got 1 CL title with RM, so he may be ok (but I reserve some doubt as well after seeing Leverkusen performance in Europa League)

seto_19 : I personally isnt the biggest fans of Benitez, but he could be a good long term coach for us. Lets talk about his Liverpool experience. Yes, he did sell Owen to Real Madrid but at the end of the day, that was a good sell as Owen went downhill after that. Unable to promote domestic talents? I dont think Liverpool did spend much in developing their talents, just like the entire Premiership football. So no one can blame Benitez not promoting young players to first team, if there is none.
The only problem of Benitez is that he wasted a lot of transfer money on medicore players, but again, I think is more Liverpool than Benitez as Liverpool continued to spend crazy price on medicore players even right now.
I agree that both Hiddink and Hitzfeld might be better choices, but the possibillity of them leaving national team before Euro 2012 is very little. Therefore, Benitez would well be the ideal choice for Champion league until 2014 and then Loew can take over
-
pff...i cant be bothered to argue with someone who thinks Bayern should sign Benitez as manager..its laughable..
transfers..it would be great to go for few free transfers too-
1) philippe mexes
2) jose bosingwa
3) taye taiwo
4) andrea pirlo (would be great along schweinsteiger for atleast 2-3 years..i'm tired of watching people like ottl, kroos and pranjic playing there..they can do it..but are not good enough) kroos is more long term.. -
i think mexes already signed with milan.
-
Van Bommel is assisting his buddy Robben to get to Milan....
While Toni is assisting his buddy Ribery to get to Juventus... !
It seems to me that none of the players is really happy nowadays,
and that the atmosphere is toxic in the dressing room. A fact which we have seen translate itself on the pitch lately.Worse of all the administration is not giving any guarantees of signing
quality players for next season yet.... If that stays the same, there probably
will not be any Rib or Rob at FCB.... ! : ( -
I will say that if Bayern cant get a Champion League, I think either Ribery or Robben will leave. But I doubt the board will let both of them leave us. At the end of the day, they still have long term contract under Bayern.
I think the board needs to get a coach which can work with the stars in order for them to perform for us. Just like what Hitzfeld did with both Toni and Ribery. If we get another "old" coach like Heynkes who stress on seriousness and discipline, similar to Van Gaal, some of the star players could be leaving us soon
-
none of them will leave !! why should ribery leave ? ESPECIALLY to juventus ..this is mediocre even more than the robben case which is just some stupid made up thing by the media
-
juventus? 8-) ...lol!
-
Juventus cant even get into Champion League or even Europa League. I think thats a joke. But I can see Real Madrid or Man Utd coming back in knocking the door if Bayern cant get into Champion League next season.
-
bbjtin : I dont blame Benitez about Owen, it was Owen own decision and bad decision I think. But if you see Liverpool lineup before Benitez, they have youth products like Fowler, Owen, McManaman, Gerard, Caragher. When Benitez was the manager, no one. And after Benitez, now they have Steven Kelly as the hot prospect.
-
If you read http://www.goal.com, you will find that Juventus was linked with all the players in the world in the winter transfer and how many actually joined them?
-
Agree with you seto, Benitez is nog the coach for young talented players. He also left Liverpool in troubles due to his amazingly bad transfers he did. He made a CL winning team into a doubting team which stood not even close to the top teams, a team that won the last 4 titles in a row (4, not 5). Benitez is a terrible manager, statistics enough to show that
-
chrisco : I dont agree with you. I think Liverpool's downfall is due to Benitez. It is mainly come down to the board which made many wrong decision of not inventing in the teams correctly. Beside, as many have critized Benitez of making bad transfer calls, he can still brought Liverpool to 2 finals in Champion League without the source of wealth of Chelsea, Barcelona, Real Madrid or Man Utd. In addition, during his period, he also did buy some quality players for cheap, like Reina, Torres, Kuyt... I think Gerrard did turn into a worldclass player under him as well.
I hope Bayern can sign Neuer, Vidal, Subotic, Coentrao and Chiellini for next season. Up front, we probably need the in-form Ekici to come back, one backup winger for either Ribery or Robben and probably need to extend Klose's contract

tz-online is circulating rumors about the strategic plans of the next season, which seems to include Lahm returning to the left.
-
Yes, that is right. Lahm should definitely return to the left side
