Transfers - suggestions/rumors

  • Exactly bbjtin!!!

Robben is one of the top class player on this planet... Even I think he's better than Ronaldo to some extent... ;-)

  • Robben is most definitely in the same boat as Ronaldo and Messi "when hes fit." Think about it this man can single handedly rip apart a defense and get a shot on goal with so much ease it makes the best LBs in the world embarrassed.

Players that can win games. BIG games. all on their own are a small group that can be counted on your fingers. In our CL run where we got to the final Robben was the X factor. those insane and wild shots that nobody thought were possible all came from him and nearly all of them were game winners. That is Class.

He may be 2 dimensional with his aproach. but he is sooo good that even knowing what he is going to do cant stop him from doing it.

Oh and btw i miss this thread havent been here in almost a year glad to be back.

  • His coming inside and his amazing schootings did work in his first year, last year it didn't work that much anymore. Players know what he'll do and if they prepare themselves a little bit like Dortmund did last year he doesn't touch a ball all game long. He's too predictable, he has only 1 action he can make. Always the same. That's why it's ridiulous to set him on the same level as Messi or Ronaldo. Besides of that those 2 players are far more effective than Robben.

  • agree with you chrisco, however robben has tremendous speed which enables him to dribble players quickly... i think thats a point to his advantage at least :P that often helps bayern a lot as its nearly a counter-attack measure for our opponents then

  • Even though Robben has been injuried for half of the last season, he manged to score 12 goals for us for 14 matches. If that isnt worldclass, I would say more. For me, Robben is worldclass and at the same level as Messi and Ronaldo when he is fully fit

I hope that we could sign one more central defender before the end of the transfer window. With that, we could complete with Real Madrid and Barcelona in Champion League

  • c'mon nerlinger, bring to Bayern some quality players, something attractive!

Surprise us!, You have done nothing at all to make this team any better

    0

  • Exactly. I think we might need some more reinforcement especially in the attack line. Yes, we lost the goal to Gladbach due to Boateng and Neuer's misunderstanding, but they were solid throughout the match as well as the first half against Wolfsburg. However, so far this season I didnt see Bayern attacks well. In fact, we didnt have a single clear chance against neither team so far. This is really disappointing.

I think we need some quality wingers as Ribery and Robben injuried way too often

  • come on !! saying nerlinger did nothing good to make this team better is nonsense !! if you see today and last time our defenders and keeper look very solid at least which is what counts... as for bringing other players i think once they say there will be no more there will be no more... its true both our wingers get injured pretty much BUT i think we have enough players which can replace them, as for attackers i think 4 are more than enough....

  • kevinbayern55 : Nerlinger did improve our defense this season with bringing on Neuer, Rafinha and Boateng. And the positive point for me is that Badstuber actually did play well for the past two matches although we are against two relatively ultra conservative teams which put 10 men in their own half.

I think we have enough players for the season;however, I will say that I dont see we have enough quality though as both Ribery and Robben are underperforming and often injuried like last seasons. We need some quality stand-in winger for them. Over the past few matches, Kroos is proven he is unable to act as a winger nor an attacking midfielder for Bayern. Mueller's best position is to play behind Gomez. Therefore, we are left with Usami (an unproven talent), Olic and Pranjic (failure purchase during Van Gaal's era).

  • totally agree with you, but having robben and ribery makes bayern`s hunt for wingers a bit difficult, who`s that stupid winger that`s got enough talent to play for a top club and stay on the bench, i think we as supporters have to set sights on either young talents which are still not playing with a top club OR experienced players which have few years left to play... OR players with normal talent such as pranjic.. i would prefer if we get an experienced one or a normal one which plays with his heart as its for a substitute...amongst that i think if bayern manage to get the central midfield in perfect condition one can easily play well without one of robben or ribery...

i think the problem with bayern nowadays is that bayern play with that style of play which is of passing the ball to the flanks, when its ribery or robben its ok , but when either of them is out then our problems begin as the subs arent able to make the work ROBBERY are able to do..

  • I guess we have to go for either experienced winger with 2-3 good years left in them or a young talented player. I am not sure if you have read that, but Eto is willing to leave Inter and the fees would probably be quite low due to his age. I think Eto can help us in different aspects as he has already won twice Champion League with two different teams and can play as a lone striker or winger

    0

  • yes saw that but dont think bayern will try getting him, saw on italian media that anzhi had offered around 35 million for him, with such astronomical prices these stupid billionaires are destroying football... dont think inter will sell any of them though (etoo & sneijder), it would be a suicide

  • But the latest news is that Eto would rather go to Premiership for an experience rather than going to Russia. If thats the case, I think Eto still has the heart to win another major title. I think Bayern should consider players like him

  • Yes, we need replacement in defensive winger position, but we need more in attack. This season, I think we have improved somewhat in the middle of defense as Gustavo, Boateng and Neuer had played a massively part. In addition, Badstuber looks an improve version compared to last season. However, bench depth is still very thin compared to any European giants.

What worries me is our option in attack. Except Olic, we basically didnt have anybody really reliable as Kroos, Alaba, Usami and Peterson are either disappointing or unproven in Bundesilga or Champion League

  • Actually, teams know that if they stop investing, they will fall behind and even teams like Barcelona and Man Utd invested this season. I think Bayern needs to invest more especially in the attacking department. I mean in the first two games, even though Gladbach and Wolfsburg arent the biggest opponents, we are able to stay pretty stable at the back. So I think we are ok with current set up. Obviously, if we could sign Lugano, it would be perfect.

However, our attack looks stupid without the speed, the aggressiveness and the tactic. I think we have worldclass players up front, but again, they cant play for every minute for every single game especially Ribery and Robben. Lets sign another worldclass player up front for this season
