Champions League

everywhere is the same. You could not get fcb tickets from haiffa duuuh.
When FCB was in Bucharest last season I preferred to sit back and watch TV that going on Steaua's fan zone. Anyway, I rather go to Alianz Arena to watch a FCB game, the atmosphere is completely breathtaking. I was there for FCB-Bolton in Uefa cup.

  • The best atmosphere I have experienced was bayern V's Milan at the Allianz when Ballack scored from about 35 yds. It blew the roof, absolutely awesome atmosphere, one of the best in the world without a doubt.

you were lucky. Me, I have to travel 1500km and I can't do this often.
But with all do respect for Bayern, I think if I don't go to a match on Anfield, I didn't see anything about football in this life. This is my ultimate goal about football , but Liverpool is so far away :(

  • It's never easy. It's ideal for me, Munich is around an hours flight from me.

We have a truck company down in liverpool "Ditchburn Trucks", my CEO has a Corporate box at Annefield. It's a great football theatre but not anywhere near as good as Allianz mate.

  • I'm not speaking about the stadium itself. The atmosphere is far better you must admit. The chanting, the devotion, the thing that all stadium get involved in supporting the team. The problem with Alianz is that many of the fans are coming just to eat a pretzel, give some applause and watch the game.

  • There is no doubt the Liverpool fans really get involved in supporting their team, even the older supporters etc but both Old Firm teams in Scotland have an equal amount of devotion even though at the moment both teams are reasonably cash strapped and not as competative as they have been.

I would still suggest that in the big games at the Allianz the atmosphere is hard to beat. The atmosphere I felt at the Milan game, the Real game when MacKay scored in the first min was just incredible.

  • how many people can that stadium hold fcbals.will it be a combat zone like when european teams play in turkey.pros should not be affected by the crowds but its in places like this where murphys law applys.if anything can go wrong it will.

  • I dont believe that we will lose it to Juventus, although they have a better overall team than us especially in defence. But I still think that we can get the better hand out of the 2 sessions. We have more experience in Champion League than them

  • I don't think Juve will kick our asses, they will be tough to beat but I'm not convinced they have anything we should fear.

  • Juve has everything we do not have: Solid defence, great midfield and the best goalie of the world. We have great wings, defensive and offensive. About strikers it's close, but at this moment their strikers are in better form (because our strikers are or out of form or not fit).

The key for us will be our RW (probably Robben) against Molinaro or De Ceglie (or eventually Brazzo) and little bit less LW against Grygera. Those are their real weaknesses, and the fact that they play without offensive wingers should give our wingbacks the opportunity to go attacking a lot.

  • Their defensive wingers are the weakness spot and also their ability to defend high balls are also another concern, which we should be better at with Toni, Gomez, Van Buyten.

In fact, Ballack thinks we have a good chance of competing in CL after signing Robben. In addition, he is planning to retire after WC10 after Chelsea is banned for transfer market for 2 years. Maybe we can lure him back to Bayern to play for another 2 seasons, like Ze Roberto. I can imagine him as the attacking midfielder role where Schweinstger is now playing.

  • I don´t like the idea to see Ballack again in Munich. He was a important part of this club and our starplayer, but he made his choice and a many supporters of Bayern won´t be happy if he makes a move to Munich for a second time. Futhermore we don´t need him in our team.

So let him stay in Chelsea or let him move to another club but never again in Munich.

What we need this year is a strong defensive line even without big names like Lucio. Our offense can beat every team on the field and I´m sure clubs like Manchester or Real Madrid will show us a lot of respect for the strikers and wingers we have.
