    So who could Bayern have bought with the E 60 million or so they would have got by selling Ribery? Essentially, he hasn't played. Combining this E 60 million loss with the E 75+ million spent for Gomez, Robben (who has played little, etc.), Timoshuk (sp?), Pranzic (sp?) this has not been a good year for Bayern's management. They could have done better with the E 135 million!!!

    let's not overreact... ribery and roben are not players to sell or not to buy. even if they have glass legs we could use all the technique and vision we can get. such kind of players and with a plus of robustness are much more expensive and we shouldn't put it that way. We all saw what is Bayern capable of with those 2 on the pitch, and hopefully we will see it again.

    Actually, Bayern hasnt been playing well either in Bundesilga but luckily, we have been lucky to get the results out from Frankfurt and Freiburg. We could have easily draw or lost either match. For the next match, it will be a final for us. We basically have to win it at all cost. And then we would be back on track. If we draw or lose against Bordeaux at home, we would be packing our beg and prepare to play in the UEFA Cup

    Thats certain. That will be like a final for us if we want to make the knockout stage. I cant imagine if Bayern got knocked out by Bordeaux and Juventus in the group stage as we have clearly on upper hand on either match against them so far. It is a pity that we have lost ground in Champion League despite playing relatively well

    the next CL matches will show what character and what form do we have. To be honest, from the start I thought Bordeaux are a tougher nut to crack than Juve, despite not having so many big names...and now I stay with the same opinion.

    Exactly. They are able to tie against Juventus on their first away game. I hope that we could win the match back with better margin then we will be on our way to knockout stage. This is the match of the first half of the season now

    I think the loss to bordeaux really shows that we are not ready for the champions league this season (100% due to bad management decisions) and that we are no longer the European powerhouse we used to be... This makes me sad and something has to change.... Without Ribery and Robben on the field, we have looked like garbage so far... We lost to Bordeaux (not acceptable... we are Bayern Munich afterall) and we barely beat Frankfurt...

    And Bordeaux has some great players, who don't have a great name in Europe (Wendel, Trémoulinas) and the qualities of Gourcuff are exceptional. Was very normal that we wanted to sign him

    It wasn't 100% to do with Muller being sent off. we were extremely poor after we scored and showed a complete lack of professionalism, his dismisal merely compounded matters

    Exactly. the old Bayern Munich even though we have a man sent off, we can at least hold the match to a draw or even a win with 10 men. But these days, this team is lack of character although we have better individuals.

    This is it! Bayern vs. Bordeaux. This is our first final in CL this season.


    If we are able to win this game, we have a decent chance of progressing. If we lost this one, then we will probably be out. Anyways, we are a bit unlucky as both Van Buyten and Mueller are injuried. Both players scored the most goal for us recently. So we are without our top scorers.

    I am predicting a 2-0 or a 2-1 win for us........
    Another very possible result if things get difficult is just the 1-0 ....

    this season has been a mess, and im scared.


    Bayern absolutely MUST win this match no ifs and buts we MUST win!!! Im sick of watching a group of grown men capable of much more doing very little! WE ARE BAYERN! We shouldnt be sttressed out in the group stage of any competition Period.

    We have to win folks. Even Klinsmann did a better job by cruising through the group stage. Fed up with a Talented squad who can't perform to it's expectations. We had Jancker and Zicker and Paulo Sergio and we still ended up Champions of Europe. These men may not have the skills or the goalscoring ablity of Toni, Klose and Gomez but when they wore the Bayern shirt, they gave their best!!!!


    If we cannot keep a clean sheet today, Management must Invest in Defenders. We just recevied a boost of 100 M Euro from Audi.

    If the team can not fight their way back and win this game, then I say its time to start looking at getting rid of van Gaal. The guy is doing worse then Klinsmann did last season, and we have a much better, and deeper sqaud this season. I just do not understand why this team is playing so poorly. If things dont change by Christmas break then its time we find a new Manager.
