Champions League

We have to change the half the team and the manager.Is this what we get for being so loyal to Bayern- a team that refuses to fight for us at home. Are we trying to win the Europa League instead- the only European title Bayern has not won in Europe??

Whatever glourious past we had is going to destroyed by the present, giving us very little hope for the future. If a club like Arsenal FC which is in so much debts and went to only 1 Champions leauge final in their entire history can perform so much better than us, we have to look why we are going wrong when we have Fiance and History to draw motivation from.

We are really terrible. I would suggest brining in either Rajikkard or Manchini. Both are out of a job. We need to act fast before we become as bad as Dortmund.

Bayern dont have the players to play the style of football that Frank Rajikkard likes.

Then we have to get the players. We are making a big mistake by letting the Management to buy the players and the coach trying to fit them in his formation. The next coach we hire, we let him choose what players he wants and we go and get them. In that way, he is responsible for the squad and the results. Since the REAL Madrid's style of management is NOT working for us. We might as well follow Manchester United's style where Alex Ferguson is resposbile for all matters in his squad.

well ... we could somehow try to find a positive despite all the negativity .... i mean if we'd have won and made it past group stange , the management would call it a successful season in europe.... this way , we will see some reaction ... people like braafheid , pranjic leaving ....
and besides , think of it this way ... imagine if we do qualify to the 2nd round ... and meet a team like Barca .... imagine what they will do to the once so feared bavarians .... they will make a new champions league scoring record ....
so i guess the europa league is where the current bayern squad belongs ... UNLESS both ribery and robben r fit ... coz without them bayern play worse than ... well .. i donno who .. Koln perhaps ??

I was speechless and am still extremely angry how Bayern performs this season at Champion League. To be honest, we have a much better team than last season although we have mistakenly sold Ze Roberto and Lucio. But when you look at the players that we have, we should be ashamed.

I think it is more the coach than the players. Seriously this group of players can easily get to the quarter-final or even semi-final if we do hire a good coach. Van Gaal has done nearly nothing in Champion League for decades. Yes, he has won the Champion League with Ajax, but it was 15 years ago.

I dont understand why people and fans like him in the first place. Yes, he is experience but again he doesnt done much in bigger stage like coaching the Dutch national team and Barcelona. In fact, most of his success comes from coaching Ajax and possibilly AZ which both teams are in the Dutch league which is a much inferior league to Bundesilga and others.

True..... we are 6th in the bundesliga.
We are not far away in our poor play than Koln or any less than average side, to say the least !!!!

by the way ... did anybody just watch the Rubin - Barcelona match ? ..... it was amazing !!!! ..... Barcelona were perfect as usual ... but Rubin ... god damn , those 11 players were fiiiiit .... just tiredless ... they just ran and ran non-stop for 90 mins ... and deserved the point they got !!! ...... just made me wonder what would have happened if it was Bayern playing against either of these 2 teams ..... i mean , lets face it ... Bordeaux r an average team ... and would 99% be knocked out in the knockout stage , nevertheless , they kicked out asses home and away !!!

shame,shame ,shame ... comparing mighty bayern to a russian club... or a french club ... aw well .... the german pride is now in the hands of the Wolves ... and those guys made their fans proud so far ....

I think we have lost that menality after Kahn left the field. None of our current players is able to carry that on including Van Bommel. Unforunately, he is not widely accepted at Bayern squad nowadays. I think we should let Van Gaal go and then let some of the players go as well such as Van Bommel, Lell, Gortilz

Once again bbjtin is so right. It all started with Van Bommel being our captain. After Kahn retired, Van Bommel could not fill in his shoes. Even at games like Barcelona, Van Bommel saw it more like reunion with his old team rather than motivating Bayern. I still recall players like Jens Jeremeies who played for us so well and never gave up and kept on fighting for us.

We need a new captain and a new coach. I think Lahm should be our new captain. He may be younger but he can be as good as a captain as Maldini. For heavens sake improve the defence before we get tharshed senseless in the Bundesliga.We need a better manager. Van Gaal tatics is so 1990s. we can't even win anything again if we play like this all the time.

Exactly. I think either Lahm or Demichelis can be our captain. Actually, Hoeness or the management or Van Gaal had made a huge mistake of letting Lucio go as he is a truely captain matter for us. He always tries his best to take this team forward when we are a goal behind. He will rush through the middle and try to help out the offense. But where is Van Bommel when we are a goal down? Still passing the ball sideway or back to Butt? If a captain plays like that, it will be hard for others to go forward.

see the thing is wisita nobody has the same passion at this club as they did back then, its almost like theyr all there for their paychecks, their free audis, and a nice place to stay in sunny ol munich

you can definately spot the players who want to win... Van buyten, Ribbery, Robben, Toni, T. Muller.... the rest of the team is going with the flow...

but yeah... it seems liek that...but u never know how are things in the dressing room...u never know...but that we lack attitude...we do...

I think every player wants to win, but they might not want it enough. Beside, they dont have a good captain and coach to lead them forward when we are a goal down. I think we are able to score many goals when we are winning 1-0 lead. Unforunately, these days, we are always getting that 0-0 result because Van Gaal keeps sticking with two defensive midfielders when supposing one of the defensive midfielders has to be a box-box midfielder. Van Bommel is unable to live up to those job and therefore, we should abandon this system. We might need to play with 4-3-3 formation or a diamond midfield formation

i think we still have a good chance to qualify , if we battle our next match against maccabi and manage to win with agood margin , and juventus get sometihng less than a win than its all open to the last game which i think will be a cracker of a match , and if our injuries manage to get in and good again i think we should qualify

Look at our recent performance, do you think we could get a win away to Juventus? We hardly play any good matches this season except the first half against Juventus, 3-0 against Wolfsburg, 5-1 away to Dortmund and probably the recent cup match 4-0 against Frankfurt. On the other hand, we have played so many disappointing matches and was never able to return to a winning streak which we are famous for before.

i dont think we should worry ourselves about the game against Juventus .... as it could well be over if Juve beat Bordeaux ... which is very likely i think ......
but IF they dont , and we get both Ribery and Robben fit for that match in Turin ... they i believe we will beat Juve .... but then again ONLY if those 2 r fit ... coz without them the team is like a headless chicken ..... switching play from left to right ... from right to left .... then delivering a useless cross .... and repeat !!!
