The issue is that Van Buyten hasnt been playing well and thats why he was subsituted. This is horrible. Contento is playing in the Champion League for Bayern as he hasnt even played a single game for Bayern in Bundesilga. Thats where our problem lies when either Van Buyten or Demichelis is not on top form, then we are in trouble

Buyten got injured or had some problems anyway. Contento had a decent game, the goal came because badstuber didn't communicate with demichelis, who missed the header, instead of letting badstuber clear with the header. Also if Bommel would have stayed on the goal line,he could have saved the goal.
Ribery was mediocre today, gomez as usual: useless, robben a bit selfish,muller maybe a bit unlucky, demichelis with his head in the clouds. Schweinsteiger, although with a few personal mistakes, covered very well a more defensive role. All in all: just MEDIOCRE, not a champions league attitude, not a champions league effort, determination....you name it....

luckily the assistant forgot his glasses and allowed that undeserved goal.

I don’t know what to say. Little bit depressed about the performance we had today. But I think that geoldes is right at least with Ribery and Demichelis. Contento was really good, I think. But, for example, I am not sure if Demichelis got any of his openings to the target. And Ribery was just one man on the pitch, nothing more!

first, defense..shaky.. no buyten, no coordination, demichelis... no words.. too bad, couldn focus, bad passes, no contention power... contento played good, but its still not precise enough and couldnt connect with a mediocre ribery, badstuber...besides the time the camera showed him for some stopped balls when i could notice a sutile alikeness with my oldest brother :P, i cant say anything...where was him? then lahm, he played good, but i must say he focused more on attackign more than in defending

then midfield, ribery already said was mediocre, just a shadow there, losing balls, easily passed... schweinsteiger, had to go down to contention and had some ugly mistakes specially on second half, bommel... on fiorentina goal i wanted to kill him..he should have stayed in his place either to stop that ball, or let butt watch the ball..he was all over and not letting the man watch..
robben, i must agree he was selfish in some plays that if he would have passed more could have ended on sth nice..but he preffered the solos more than collectivity, but considering the mediocre collectivity, it was an option

you can put lot of offensive players in a team, but that wont make it a good offense, u can bet on an offensive scheme, but that wont give u safe games if u have a defense that sincerely sucks

The 2nd goal might be offside but Bayern first goal was disallowed for no good reason & penalty kick was given instead which if it was missed might change the outcome of the match to defeat.

There were wrong decisions made by the referee on both teams.

Overall, Bayern didnt play well at all, but again, Fiorentina didnt play well either in attack. I have to say because they mainly just have one chance to equalize and they did.

Defence was shaky but this is because Nerlinger or Hoeness didnt sign any quality central defender backup in the winter break and allows players like Breno to leave on loan, who also didnt play any game so far for Nurnberg yet. So I dont see the point of doing that.

When Robben took the shot Klose was not in an offside position.Frey then made a save and the ball went to Olic who then head to Klose and he scored . i don't know what to say but everyone said its offside. What everyone is trying to say is that Klose was offside when Olic headed the ball to him.

sorry mate, but i cannot agree with you. Even though we clearly had more and also bigger chances to score, and win the match clearly, fiorentina did a great tactical game, exactly what we should have expected from the italians. So you might say they were unlucky to lose.

In Fiorenze the game will look totally different since they will look for the first goal, and will play a bit more opened, more attacking than yesterday, so our creative player can take some chances there.
If we'll fix some of our problems till the next game, i'm sure they can win at Fiorenze.

thats exactly what im trying to explain to everbody ... imagine klose and olic attacking Frey with all the fiorentina defenders behind them ... olic passed to klose... is klose offside in this case ? NO !! ... same thing here ... olic wasnt offside when he headed the ball ... and when he headed the ball he was ahead of both defenders... which makes it like this 2 on 1 situation described above... so in my own opinion it was actually a rather good decision by the linesman !!! ...... only in PES this counts as an offside !

Way to get the win Bayern, but the goal they gave up could hurt us. I knew right way when they brought on Contento they we would probably give up a goal, and the ball went right to his mark when Fiorentina scored. I would have put Tymoshchuk out on the flank instead. Offensivly, the passing was horrible, along with some of the first touches. The team deffently stepped their game up in the final 20 minutes, but they should have won atleast 3-1 even if you disallowed Klose's goal. I am now looking for a 2-1 win in the next leg to send Bayern through.

On another note, nice to see that Real Madrid, Arsenal, and AC Milan all lost. If those 3 were to go out, that would be good news for Bayern if they go through.

about the offside, olic gave a pass to a player outside of the game, wasn't that obvious?
even if they were 2 on 1 with frey, and olic would gave the same pass, to a player in a more forward position than him, it would have been offside. only if the pass had been given to a player behind, it wouldn't have counted as offside.

In reality, this is an offside goal. But thats life in football right? Remembered when Henry's handball gets France into the World Cup? Thats how it is. I dont think we need to furthur discuss on this matter. Referee and linemen made mistakes

I think when Van Gaal puts Contento on. He made a mistake as this is where we lost the goal and obviously Van Bommel and Butt miscommunication are partly blamed for it. We should have substituted Pranjic in for the left defender position. Yes, he was playing poorly for us at that position earlier this season, but so as the entire team at the time. He definitely has more experience in that level than the young Contento. I think Van Gaal is arrogant and believes he can turn every youngsters into Mueller and Badstuber. He needs to face the reality that we need experience individuals to play in the later stage in Champion League

I think we need a positive against Fiorentina on the away match but the problem is that recent weeks, we have seen opponents developing a better system to contain our attack. In addition, some of our key players are getting minor knocks, such as Van Buyten and Ribery and players like Mueller, Gomez are showing some lack of freshness

We deserved to win, but the method through which the victory was achieved is not very impressive. If Klose 's goal didn't stand then we
would have been in Huge trouble.

Bayern's problems were two folds:
- The wastefulness in front of goal (Robben and Gomes)
- The gamble by Van Gaal in introducing an inexperienced youngster
during such a high stake match !!! I mean he had 2 International
players who participated in Euro and qualifiers to choose from
in Altintop and Pranjic !!!! really a bizarre decision that I cannot understand.

We have to score in Florence to keep them from staying on the defensive
and bring them out of their shell.

sari11 : Completely agree with you! Gomez and Robben need to score some more crucial goals as we did have many chance of scoring more. In addition, the introduction of Contento is completely wrong as he could put Pranjic in as left defender.

Weren't you the one who keeps saying that Pranjic is too weak and not a LB?
