    Actually, Kroos plays much better on the left side than in the middle; whereas, Altintop plays much better on the right side or in the defensive midfielder role than on the left side. So maybe we could even change a bit of using Mueller to support the lone striker- Gomez

    You are correct Kroos plays much better on the Left side.... he must make good use of his time there while Ribery is out.

    I think we can switch back to a 4-4-2 formation since neither Klose nor Olic is a lone striker type for a season long football. Maybe we should give Gomez and Olic a chance to start up front against Basel with Kroos and Mueller as supporting

    Schweinsteiger!!! what a player!


    same goes for Mueller and Lahm, both were awesome tonight! Badstuber ball into the box was also a good one, he now has two assists!


    we did win! but once again we left it for the dying minutes!


    Van Bommel imo was really poor! and i was shocked to see Van Buyten start the game! if he hadn't played we would have won 2-0!


    Anyways, despite all these flaws the team has earned 3 points and have gained a lot of confidence for the Bundesliga game!

    * Truly saved by pure resilience and ball possession,
    BUT we couldn't find an insicive pass or shot on goal and that is very very worisome.


    * The 1st half seemed like a group of player that are not able to play together.


    * In the 2nd half before the equalizer many players were walking and not running !


    * Schweini "The Tiger of Bayern" is not one of my favorite all time German players for nothing !!!
    He keeps fighting , covering ground, he plays for the team and puts himself for the service of the team.
    He is super determined and risilient, He hardly quits in tough times.(Mourinho knows who he was after !)


    * If I were the management board I would Thank Schweinsteiger for keeping his concentration and for his fighting spirit.


    * Props also to Captain Van Bommel, who played in a more advanced attacking role this time and passed the ball brilliantly.


    -- By the way, a point in Dortmund will be more than great... fatigue has set in....they should have though of this in the summer and brought in more players...

    Btw, fatigue cannot be an issue as Dortmund also have their UEFA Cup game!

    I think there are a certain players wanting to fight in this team despite we are in bad shape. However, there are players that I think Van Gaal keeps on making mistakes like Van Buyten. What a mistake! Why Van Gaal keeps putting him in the starting lineup when he has made so many mistakes over the early campaign of this season? I dont understand it

    I neither want to see daniel playing as starting CB anymore, I bealive that he plays better as a forrward than as a defender... But as I always say, van gaal is the coach...

    Muller fought till the last drop. He has matured this season. His skill on
    the Right flank was important in the second half... I just wish he scores
    again.. That is important for his confidence.


    On a different note,
    The situation was quite bad this time that Van Gaal was up from his seat shouting !!! LooooL :)
    He really was trying to encourage his troops and I like that.


    My Player of the season so far has to be: Hans Jorg Butt :)
    He has been saving Bayern time and time again.


    Who does everyone think has been the most consistant and best performer for FC Bayern ??

    Basel's goal was a perfect example of isolating one Cb and the positioning of the full backs to prevent any recovery in these instances, frustrating. At least we managed to grind out a score, less the display

    Sari - I also think Schweini is having one of his better seasons, could have more round him to help but has generally been one of our better performers along with Muller and possibly Butt, all three have still made mistakes though. Lahm is also worth a mention.

    Id say schweini. For the role and position he has been given id say he was close to spotless. last season all he wouldve needed was to score at least half of his shots that came off the bar... and whata you know hes got 3 already =)


    in forward terms... Hands down Robben.
    without his selfishness and sheer skill we wouldve never made it far in CL and we wouldve had to cross our fingers and pray at penalty kicks against schalke in the Cup.

    Schweinsteiger is still very inconsistent this season, but he is definitely one of the better players within our squad. However, I think he cant cover the scoring responsibilities for Robben and the other strikers - Klose, Gomez and Olic
