    I'm coming from Washington DC and finding a hotel during Oktoberfest now is very challenging (but fun)! If I did it for the quarterfinals in 2009 I can do it now (somehow) =D

    Ribery and Gomez are gaining form these days especially in the past few matches domestically and internationally. However, Bayern is still looked out of depth if either Ribery or Robben is injuried. I think we need another player although Heynckes has hinted we dont need more players

    I think this one of the hardest group in years for Bayern.


    Realistically with Manchester City current squad, it is not bad to get the second spot in the group provided we don't get shocked by Villarreal.


    Definitely in winter break , Bayern needs a world class striker & central defender even if they finish in top of the bundesliga.

    This will be a tough group after seeing Man City trashing Spurs at home. Man City could beat us with their current form and I hope that we could squeeze a spot to the knockout stage as both Villarreal and Napoli arent bad opponents either

    Transfer market is pending to close and from current squad. Barcelona and Real Madrid are definitely ahead of every single team in Europe. Personally, I think Man Utd would be right behind both Spanish teams. And then, it will follow by Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Man City as well as AC Milan.

    i hope Bayern can get through the group of death and then pends for some more signings in the winter as Bayern still needs another quality central defender, a quality backup winger as well as a top striker to complete with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Man Utd

    I think when we get through this group, unless we face Real Madrid, Barcelona or Man Utd, otherwise would be difficult to stop

    Villarreal vs Bayern Munich 0-1 (Half time)


    Unlikely my prediction, Heynckes started with Van Buyten and Tymoshchuk instead of Rafinha and Gustavo. I guess Heynckes will probably rely on more experienced players in Champion League this season.


    Bayern deservely leaded one goal in the first half. If Bayern is more effective, they should be able to convert another goal from some of the half chance opportunities. Badstuber, Lahm, Tymoshchuk, Ribery played really well. Kroos started off well by scoring the goal, but performance faded away a bit as the match progressed. Mueller and Gomez are pretty quiet in the first half.

    Villarreal vs Bayern Munich 0-2 (Full time)


    Bayern completely dominated the match and Neuer is again keeping his clean sheet. If Bayern continues to play like this, it would be difficult for opponents to score against us.


    Badstuber, Ribery, Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Tymoshchuk, and Rafinha all have a great match. The others, except Gomez, did well but average performance for their standard. I am not sure why Gomez substititued so early, maybe because of his injury?

    Great performance today! I think that draw in Napoli -Man. City game was good for us too. I believe Gomez had an injury.

    Is confirmed that Gomez and Van Buyten are injuried. Hopefully, Gomez wont be out for too long as there is no replacement for him with Olic injuried as well. Petersen cant be a long term solution.
