Bundesliga 2011-'12

  • I just can't wait to see Petersen playing in Allianz Arena!!! As the season will start, its gonna be lots of excitement and fun!!! Waiting for that........................

  • Peterson probably wont have a lot of chances to impress. To be honest, I think he will probably play for only 10-12 matches in total and all in the last 15mins

  • Klopp apparently thinks his team is the best in the world(only after Barcelona), i want Bayern to show Dortmund where they belong next season!

    0

  • Btw, i'd like to pay tribute to Bastian Schweinsteiger for playing the last 4 games with a broken toe!

He is one hell of a guy!

  • Schweinsteiger actually played his season's better five games under Jonker with a broken toe. Hopefully, we can see a worldclass Schweinsteiger next season when he is fully fit

  • From the transfer market so far, I would say that it is not as easy as many would thought that we could win back the title.

So far, we have sold Ottl, Kraft, Altintop all for free and then Ekici to Werder Bremen for 5mil Euros. On the other hand, Peterson has been cofirmed to join us for around 3mil Euros.

  • Rummenigge mentioned that Heynckes will be rotating our squad a bit more than Van Gaal. I totally agree with that if we have more than 11 or 12 players, we should try to use all of them.

  • I think the more we concentrate on our defense(which was not satisfactory in the last season), the more we will steps ahead of the Championship. Because we don't have to put a huge effort on our midfield and attacking midfield. It's already 85% satisfactory(in my opinion) if Ribbery, Schweini, Gomez give their cent percent this season with no casual approach as we saw in few matches last season. And besides it will be very good for us if we have Demichelis back.

And of course, Heynckes will be rotating our players more than Van Gaal did. (:

  • But one more thing is to be remembered, if we want to stop teams like Barca, possession of ball must be enriched. I don't know about those much said 'telepathic connection' among the Barca players, but I know we have the potential to prevent any team if the squad makes no mistake in 90 minutes. That's the key requirement now.

  • In order to improve our team, we so far have taken a step in signing Peterson, Rafhina (95% done) and Neuer (verbally done). In addition, we would like to add Vidal, Boateng and possibilly a winger/striker to our squad.

With that, we would have a pretty compete squad to challenge Champion League. However, Robben and Ribery will still worry us if either of them injuries during crucial period. In addition, we have relied a lot on Gomez to score this season (40+ goals in all competition for Bayern this season) and if Gomez is injuried or went out of form. I dont see Peterson, Olic or even Klose (if assumped he remains) can step up in numbers. Finally, our same old problem- defense. Even with Neuer, we need a stable and mobile defensive line. Lahm is fine in defense but his contribution in attack hasnt been terrible for the past season or so. But I guess thats why Heynckes wants to bring him back to left defender. Rafinha's new form is still untested so I dont want to add furthur comment on that. Boateng should be a bit more stable and faster than the aging Van Buyten. However, the problem remains with Badstuber or Breno. Both players are highly praised by coaches due to their potential in early days. But neither player has improved since then and thats worried me a lot. I dont want to see both of them turning into Rau or Lell

  • Badstuber is rather good.. but I don't see any bright future of our team through Breno. The bragging about him reached sky-high when he was brought. But there was no fruitfulness at all.

  • dustu04 : If you are only reading players' description from Bayern website, then every player looks to be either a worldclass player or a highly potential player. I have followed Bayern for more than 30 years and had almost never seen a negative comment on any player, but although the reality is that there are plenty of wasteful money being spent during the past 30 years.

Personally, I think neither Breno nor Badstuber will become worldclass player throughout their entire career. Breno has the Brazilian gens in which he was always too lazy in training. He does the physcial present, the speed and relatively decent tackle skill. But his lack concentration and lack of experience do cost us dearly. But if he works hard enough, in time, those things can change. However, on Badstuber is different. He is quite an aggressive player with very high work rate. His natural aspects bring him down like his lack of speed and his inability to make any correct tackle. Speed- he cant get better but will only get worse. Tackle skill- he can improve in time if he works hard enough. So if he does improve his tackle skill, Badstuber can be a useful player. However, he will never be a worldclass central defender due to the lack of speed

  • Yes.. I agree... Badstuber lacks speed.. and as for the laziness, I've seen that in some of our players this past seaosn in some important matches.. atleast those players whom we have much expectations from...

But I still belive that it would be much better if Demichelis rejoins us...

    0

  • This is really good that we have Neuer now... But we have to really act right from the beginning.. and we must retain it the entire season... Let's see how much these new transfers gonna benefit us.. But truly speaking, this is the time we must and must be serious in every matche... every....

It would be very very difficult and demoralizing for me to bear another burden of defeat anymore............

  • dustu04 : Demichelis definitely wont rejoin us and his transfer is permanent right now.

As for Neuer, he is probably the best goalkeeper in the world right now, but again he needs a stable defensive line to play in front of him. Right now, we have switched Lahm to the left side where he hopefully will regain his worldclass status. Rafinha is a seasoned right defender. At his best, he would be one of the best right defenders in Bundesilga, but not in Europe though. The others remain unchanged. We need at least one central defender to stablize the defence. Boateng does have the potential to become worldclass but he isnt yet!

    0

  • Totally agree with you bbjtin. Boateng is the man... I desire to see him in Bayern... But there's a question that perhaps there would be no more transfer this year to our club...

    0

  • Since we have saved around 20mil Euros on Rafinha instead of Coentrao, I reckon the management will spend it on Vidal or someone else up front. Hopefully, we would have a more complete to play with next season

    0

  • There will be more transfers dustu, Bayern really want to go far in the CL next year. We only spend 15M euros last year on Gustavo, makes us stronger to spend now.

    0

  • It would be really better if Boateng joins us.... but I don't think Usami is the man we need now...

    0

  • Usami is not a bad addition given his talent and also he wont cost us anyways for only a borrowing for the first year.

On top of that, maybe we could consider selling Olic
