    I expect it would be a more difficult game but Bayern's player handled it really well. However, after leading 3-0 at less than an hour, Heynckes should have let some of the players play a few more minutes. He shouldnt wait until 75mins to let Robben and Gomez come in. In addition, the players should be more aggressive even leading 3-0.


    I dont like to see Bayern's attitude after leading 3 or more goals, they just slow down with more than 30mins to play. Fans buy tickets to see team play. Instead, they would pass the ball around for 30mins without a single shot on goal. Thats too irresponsibility when we know that there is no chance that Mainz will come back from 3-0. We should have played a good remaining 30mins for the fans to enjoy. Instead, they just pass the ball around to kill time

    Schweinsteiger is struggling with an anke injury, should he fail to make the match against schalke, we might as well see Gustavo partnering Martinez in the center of the pack.

    I think Heynckes will stick with the same starting elevan however, if Schweinsteiger is injuried, Heynckes might consider moving Kroos to the central midfielder's position and allow Robben to get some match practice as he has been complaining for the past few matches

    Bayern Munich vs Schalke 04 2-0 (Half time)


    In the first half, Bayern completely dominated Schalke like many Bundesilga matches this season. Schalke hardly had a shot against Bayern. Gomez tried really hard to get onto the score sheet, however, his ball control and first touch remains poor. Otherwise, with such supplies, he should have at least score a goal in the first half with the chances that he has.

    Completely dominated the match. There is no chance that Schalke would have scored a goal or grab a point from this match. It was lucky that they didnt concede 5 or 6 goals. I think both Robben and Gomez screwed up a lot of goal chances. After this match, I completely agree with Heynckes that both players should be sitting on the bench as both Mueller and Mandzukic are in much better form right now

    With 15 points and goal advantage ahead, there is no doubt that Bayern will become Bundesilga title holder this season. For the others, they should be battling for the Champion League spot instead. Even though Franfurt played an excellent season of football, I hope Schalke can grab the Champion League spot as they are much stronger opponent in Champion League than Franfurt or Gladbach

    Indeed. But look at this side: BM will face more important games ahead (Dortmund in Cup and Arsenal in CL) and substituting Müller and Mandzu in Bundesliga he gives them time to rest and prevents injury.
    The were on the bench a while, but the are exellent players anyway.

    I understand we need to rotate players especially during this heavy period; however, both Gomez and Robben arent up to the speed with the entire team and that surprises me because both of them are good players and should have played much better than they did against Schalke.

    I think Heynckes will play Mandzukic but might use Robben instead of Kroos, so would be Muller, Robben, and Ribery supporting Mandzukic

    Arsenal vs Bayern Munich 0-2 (Half time)


    Bayern didnt dominate the play like we did in Bundesilga, but the attack was more effective especially on the right side with Lahm overlapping. Two goals and more chances come from both Mueller and Lahm. Alaba has a bit slip-up in defense but did combine well with Ribery

    a very professional performance by Bayern, it was champagne stuff for long periods, especially in the 1st half.


    Heynckes did his homework on arsenal, he got the tactics right, walcott & wilshere were neutralized.

    I think with this set of result, Bayern will kill off Arsenal and get into the quarter-final. Look like both Barcelona and Madrid arent having the results that they wanted. Both could well be eliminated before quarter-final and Bayern would be the clear favor in Champion League with Man Utd, Dortmund and Juventus being the biggest opponents awaiting
