    slightly different opinion...
    SPECIALLY about that of "Mandzukic is only human.. we need Mario Gomez" almost a joke... because the guy couldnt score in one single game he is now worse than Gomez?? im sorry but when super model gomez came to bayern had a goal draught that lasted for really long... and he failed to score in much more important games last year.. name me more than one (madrid game was when he scored a decisive goal??) crucial game in which he scored... because scoring against Freiburg when ur team is leading is very different to make the opening goal....
    second thing why i think super model is overrated.., he has nor the skills or the speed to get a ball from an oponenet and create sth...


    i agree on the second statement from bbjtin about the defense, way too clear Luiz Gustavo needs schweinsteiger alongside to remain in order. Bastian is needed to mantain the equilibrium in defense and the focusing..


    about the long distance shots, freekicks and corners:
    corners can be a trap against ultra defensive teams as well, they will close the lines there too and wont let those chance, long distance is sth L. Gustavo is constantly trying..and Schweinsteiger.


    yesterday mistakes were Martinez instead of Schweinsteiger (martinez still too new to replace sb with the weight of schweini in midfield, i would have tried schweini-martinez combination instead of the other way...) and SHAQIRI.. should start against defensive teams, him an ribery provide the speed and the capability to break close defenses...

    Bayern policy since that season in which we signed Toni and Ribery has been going for either bargain or "footbal flea market".. its really pissing considering the results we've had lately..winning nothing... it sucks. Now if its true that they are going dor N de Jong.. thats... ufff.. confirming the theory


    And i agree with you bbjtin about Bender.. he isnt bad but he is too young and not what we need now.. it would be another kroos right? hasnt probed anything yet...

    HOW you put Gomez... with 0 skills... agains italian defense.. please.. can sb give me a reason for sth like that?


    HOW you leave Balotelli with free will.... how.. when he is a really dangerous player.. IF YOU LET HIM!! england was the proof of that!! neutralizing him... leavign him with no space...why to discover the wheel again i say!


    HOW do you choose Podolski! tell me... how a player that has been all the season in a mediocre team, that descended.. who is slow.. that is outclassed...thats been proved to be worse than others like Schürrle or Reus,.. thats nonesense really


    Mr özil is a cold chested player...


    Even Neuer was more desperate to score!!


    Kroos.. being weak a complete season.... there are better ones than him...


    boah... how stupid... they should have tried the same formula as against Greece.. correcting some mistakes.. like boateng.. but why did Löw had to play sth that really brought the quality of game down... why does he lose control of his own tactics against important rivals? why doesnt he play what he saw went great...its nonesense really!

    Yep but Balotelli has a huge mistake... he is really selfish when he's trying to be hero or probe he can play also for Italia.. Against England they could have won before the penalties!! many times.. he missed 4 clear chances, and not to mention how many times Cassano was standing alone waiting for his pass in first half, secondn half Diamanti was there as well..


    I fear more Di Natale...

    i agree with you bbjtin about the counters and their defensive disclipline, but now they are attacking they also leave more spaces, Englad was just too slow to use them... Germany will have to show lot of speed and patience.. they already beated a team like greece with 9 man defense line... they have to show the same discipline now.. and I still think Bender should replace Boateng.. for 3 reasons:


    1) Boateng usually lost sight of the ball.. with players like Cassano, Di Natale and Pirlo you can't do that


    2) too slow in reactions


    3) Same as with Bayern.. loses to often the mark of key players in a determined play, you just can't leave a candidate for an assistance alone...

    was a good game for Germany!! the best ive seen so far this EM...
    i liked schürrle, klose and reus today... brought speed and a good pace to the game... Klose does what Mario Gomez can´t... build game...


    and Schürrle was much much better than Podolski!!
    schweinsteiger was standing well all game long...
    what a beauty was Lahm's goal!
    and reus... well he kept trying until he made it!


    özil was decent... but.. he is so cold chested... and khedira... did his job... was much better than in the previous games...


    the weakest point was Boateng... i think.. Bender should start in semis..


    Im worried about semis... i agree with bbjtin... Germany has never got good results against Italy... a match against England would be better for Germany....

    we must think first about Greece. Germany cant waste so much chances against Greece, since they are mega defensive and wont give many chances. Other thing Löw must corrrect is the centralization of the attack, there was a alck of offensive display in the wings, they kept attacking down the center.. against the greeks that will be like falling in the trap all the time.

    in my opinion today was the best display the german team had so far. Was an interesting game, Denark put lot of pressure.. though defense was well organised... I didnt like that come out Neuer had... too risky... and there was no need i guess..


    FINALLY Löw used Schürrle... funny that it was when Podolski scored only... dont get him.. anyway...
    i liked how Bender played... defense was well organized.. standing well.. midfield was nice.. though still khedira looks too slow too heavy.... wasted chances today... Gomez too...


    özil was quite decent today, Müller wasted an incredible chance!! that was germany's first goal!!!! but still helped in assistance...

    hmm against Nederlands, lets say it was a bit more from what i saw in WM10, some.. draft of it... but still too slow. I think Podolski did a nice job defending, but it was missed sb faster like SCHÜRRLE for attack..
    Defense standed quite good, the incorporation of Hummels was a great idea. Boateng.. was the man of mistakes but misses next match.. i wonder who will they choose to replace him...
    about gomez... it kind of hurts me, dont get me wrong, im supporting germany.. but im Chilean so.. :P the list of priorities for this case is bayern, then germany... and it hurts that gomez did such a great and skillful play with Schweinsteiger...for germany.. and isnt capable of doing that for bayern.. that will to score.. wish he had the same in important games for bayern..:(
    both goals were impressive...


    Nederlands... oh well... lets say they were willing Robben perhaps did sth knowing most of the players of the squad?? who knows.. all i know is that Lahm and podolski kept him neutralized..


    we could summarize the game like "a momentaneously bright Germany (or a well organized) won against a dark dark Nederlands"


    i hope this keeps getting better... who do you think the quater finals rivals will be?
